hi Jeff, no one has mentioned it but I wonder if your mic was having some issues during the session - I heard your audio breaking out constantly both on my phone and on my laptop in the replay. Thanks for the great sessions though! Catch up soon!

I have applied to my job nearly 500 companies. Tailored my resume accordingly and my job work is perfectly aligned with JD. But I am not getting any calls still. Could you suggest me

@Prabhakar312, I really hope my very candid feedback helps. Applying to 500 companies is simply way too many applications. I recommend taking a different approach, specifically, networking. I would utilize LinkedIn to connect with people in your industry to try and open doors for you. I know this may feel like a tougher path, but the other path isn't working, it is time to try something different. Please search my KZfaq Channel to watch my networking videos and hopefully they help!

Jeff how to specifically showcase our Unique Value Ad in interviews to convince recruiters into hiring me straight away ignoring a few drawbacks like career gap etc as I've heard that Unique value ad/skills can help candidates overpower other's in same category ? How it all works in small medium scale companies...

@mohibquadri4053, let's tackle each item separately. Don't worry about resume gaps, we can't go backwards, and they are so common in 2024! You demonstrate your unique value through preparation and practice, that's it, the more time and effort you put into getting prepared, the more naturally your talents will come out in conversations with the Recruiter, interviewers, and the hiring manger.

@@jeffhsipepi Yes to articulate those things clearly which Communication books can help us in such situations ?

@@mohibquadri4053 There is really no specific book I would recommend to help you explain your employment gaps, simply talk positively about all your past companies and what you were able to accomplish during those gaps. Positive reflection in a job interview is extremely important.

@@mohibquadri4053 "I spent the last few years focusing on parental care and while this was not the plan when I graduated, I feel extremely fortunate that I was in a position to help my family. Now I am looking to take that first step in my career and I am excited to be chatting with you about this role today" Something like this would work well in an interview.
