Who are Trist and Kez
We’re Trist and Kez, a couple in their 40’s. We’ve sold everything for a life on the road. Come and join us as we show you our Van life UK Travel Series. We show the best spots for van camping, hiking and exploring, from the countryside to the coastline of our home island.
👫🐶 Our aim as (another) van life couple (and our dog and cat) is to document each UK road trip we take, sharing tips and tricks for van camping in the UK. In summary, we want everyone to be able to access the magic that van life UK opens to us all. Adventures in the great outdoors. We also appreciate that travelling in a van with a dog isn't always the easiest, therefore everywhere we share is 100% dog-friendly.

Thank you guys very helpful, im in the middle of selling my house and then buying a van to live in full time..ive been doing my research for a few months so i love all the information i can get... im looking forward to my first breakdown crisis in the middle of nowhere 😂😂

Hi, il be starting my journey off in Wales as that's where I'm from and for peace of mind if I have some big problems il not be too far from home lol then Scotland and I'm planning to travel to spain in January next year....obviously I have no idea what I'm getting myself into but I'm excited for it 😂

@MrWelsh1 We are buzzing for you mate. Wales is such a beautiful place. We never explored it till we had our old van. We have a bunch of places we can share with you if that’s helpful. Although you might be more of an expert than us 😂. Also BritStops is a good backup for us. Spain in January sounds like a brilliant idea. We were in the UK and had some glorious days in Scotland but also got frozen out of our van and had a few other van issues 🤣. We’re hoping to do the same and chase the sun, or at least not freezing weather lol. We have learnt so much in our travels and full timing on the road so any questions just let us know.

I won't get a van for possibly another 2/3 months as I need to sell the house for the funds, but il definitely keep in touch with you guys and il probably even create a channel on here too, il need help with that in the future also 😂 all I can say about wales is head all up the west coast of Wales its beautiful. I'm from the south in Newport... avoid this place its a shit hole 😂 il be back in touch in the future. I hope you both have an amazing time and hopefully no more break downs or dramas haha

@MrWelsh1 very exciting. Do you have a van in mind or you crossing that bridge when you get there 😎. We love being by the coast and done some of the west coast. We also love the mountains too 😍. Tend to stay away from towns and cities as you can imagine. We started our channel to share our travels with family but a couple of years on we’re still doing it with more information to share. It’s a great way to look back over your travels and have them documented. Any questions on KZfaq (I know we’re not experts 🤣) just ask. Likewise with any other vanlife questions. @@TristandKez -oh hi xx thanks for the interest x I just wondered if it's worth getting solar fitted ? I have a leisure battery with split charger and a 1500 w inverter also have solar panel as you do. I also have 2 power packs ( a Bluetti 600w and and an allpowers 300w ) I think I could be discribed as all the gear but limited idea 😂😂 thanks again xxx

@@TristandKez Right sir I invite you for solo hicking trip. Thank you very much for replying to the comment. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower

Hi guys,i live and work in the scottish highland and iv only 3 weeks left before i move out of my rented cottage and im going to live full time in my land rover defender and change my life for me 😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.my plan is to pay off everything i owe and save a huge part of my wage's and in afew year's im going to work 9 month's and travel for 3 month's 😁

We did have plans of going to Europe for winter, but Old Gertie had a few van issues. So we didn’t fancy breaking down in Europe. Now spring is here it won’t be long before Europe is too hot for Frank our Frenchie 🤣. Bless him he’s already panting in a slightly warm van at the moment. So we’re looking at autumn/winter this year. Winter sunshine would be awesome.

Ahhh I’ve been trying to balance the levels. But there seems to be a huge difference between the headphones we use for editing and computer and phone speakers. Will have a look at this weeks video for sure 👌 😎🤙🏽

What are your views on high top vs low tops?

Hi Shan, great question. Our T5 was a low top and we could get under all height barriers. But it wasn’t a pop top so we were bent over a lot moving around the van 🤣. Old Gertie on the other hand, can’t park in so many places but being able to stand up is a freedom we’d never change 😎. Hope that answered your question. Let us know if you have any others 🤙🏽

Hey Marcus, thanks for dropping us a comment. We have an address we can get mail sent to. But these days we hardly get any mail through the post. Most things are online for us.
