Stiffening fabric as shown in the video stops fraying almost completely. I also back petals and leaves with another layer of thinner fabric in most cases, which helps as well.

А для кожи можно такой же раствор использовать или лучше клей пва с водой?

Этот продукт тоже в принципе на базе ПВА. Но для кожи я использую просто качественный ПВА с водой, да. Просто подберите подходящую пропорцию именно для Вашего клея.
