My protest behavior is acting like I'm not attached. I don't do the other things listed but acting like I'm not clingy I noticed can also backfire. Especially for partners who also have attachment. I always wanted to be seen as the cool strong girlfriend but the truth is I am really insecure and lonely a lot

Thanks Sadia, I only recogised this recently at the age of 39. This video confirms it. I am an avoidant type, and I just need to communicate my feelings and needs directly without fear come what may.

When my partner and I were fighting all the time and I had the angry switch jammed on - another psychologist on KZfaq had a tip regarding “opposite action”. You want to yell at them? Move toward them with tenderness, for example. I found this worked but couldn’t quite fathom the exact reasons behind it. The penny just dropped: “opposite action” is actually just stopping the protest behaviour. Wow. Thank you for this!

Well, my jealousy is a treasure. It appears when I truly care, if I am not jealous then I don't care, if I stop being jealous it is over. As simple as that.

@@alexmoja3042 Well, my jealousy is not fear is more like protecting what is mine, it is an incredible amount of concern towards someone I truly cared for, that I do not want to share with anyone. I don't know how to put it in English. It is a harmless protection.

Sometimes when people chase someone they believe if they get this person. It proves love. On the other hand, if you dont love yourself and have your own boundaries... when someone shows interest in you, you turn away...thinking how can they love me when i...(self hate talk) every negative emotion shows up about yourself. ❤To truly find the one, find yourself FIRST!

I can never remember your name properly after some amount of time, but I swear you're IT in the dating industry! Just teach men how to spot good women and how to sacrifice for them. And teach women what they're worth, because some of them really don't see it and it's so frustrating the kind of stuff they'll put with when they've never had to. It would make our lives as men a whole lot easier if we didn't have to go get good women out of situations they should never have been in.

Having said that, there are about 90 out of hundred, who have had a traumatised past(Childhood), henceforth the chances of having a good relationship once you are adults is next to none. Sadia, could you also speak more about, how to deal with such existential crisis? I mean, how to do the work? Mind you, not all the people suffering from such issues are necessarily equipped with avenues or enough education, that seem to make these recurring issues even more monstrous. But trust me almost all the families especially in the third world are troubled! Also, so far I have noticed that most of the podcasts or Talks seem to emphasize more on the romantic relationships, so it seems it is sort of too inclined toward sexual relationships which could be may be romantic as well. However I personally feel, such troubled childhood can sabotage the other very important portals of life too, e.g., the professional life, places of work are imbued with toxicity and most of it, I am sure stem from the toxicity at home and then get transported to the other areas of life.

But what happens when you learned this lesson in the past and you started a new relationship and communicated your needs to the new person but she won't be nice and she'll say you're jealous and people need to be friends and won't communicate with you, she'll change behaviour and blame all on you, even when you discovered her in suspicious situations and found her with archived chats on WhatsApp with female names but it was a man? It doesn't matter how much you work on you when you continue meeting liar women who pretend to be what they're not. It's full of narcissists 💔
