Another way to think about the open-the-door close-the-door method is thinking about skating forward, and then someone taps you on your shoulder so you step to turn around and see them, this way you are thinking about moving your head first and letting your feet follow. You're still opening and closing the door, but it helped me when I first was trying it out to think of turning towards someone. Also ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TOESTOPS ARE STRONG AND TIGHT! <3

I crashed into my car 2 times because I’m too scared to use my toe stops these moves all look easy but when I’m action I can’t bring myself to do it. Makes me so sad
