@@zach4185 What am I missing? I mean, I loved seeing a flatbed coming to pick up a pallet load of stuff (a lot easier to load with the forklift) or to tow a gooseneck. But it's more difficult to take my brush to the burn pit or haul smaller loose items. Not meaning to sound argumentative or stupid. I genuinely want to know.

@@wushock92 when I build mine, I welded open loops for a 2x4, so I could slide wooden sides in. That way I can do anything. Haul sand, dirt or brush. I love a good flatbed.

Flat bed is ok it would not be bad just a leveling kit it would look good what is the paint you are using on the frame so I can do it to my o3 power stroke

You should put a 4th gen dash in it. Iv seen videos of people converting these trucks and if this is gunna be a give away truck that would definatly be something I'd like to see. Love the videos keep up the good work

I've been curious, about how easy would it be to get your hands on one of those beds off of a "Home Depot " rental truck ? Hopefully you know what I'm talking about? They remind me of that AEV Prospector Ram 2500 , sitting on 40" tires. You haven't done one like that. And I'd love to see a 2nd gen Ram 2500 AEV PROSPECTOR on 40's check them out. Thanks.

My dad bought his 2nd gen brand new in 1994 and he put 33x12.50r16.5 with like a -25 offset and it cleared no problem

Ride height and those wheels and tires is almost perfect. Maybe a leveling kit. Yes it will look awesome with lift and big tires but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Stock bed. Factory longhorn seats 4th gen steering wheel and yes to the lift kit idea. If you did all that with matching custom bumpers it'd be 🔥

I had the rustoelum rust restorer or whatever it’s called. I sanded it down. But it still had a little rust on it. Then I painted it. And a few months later rust started coming through the paint. So I think you’re on the right track sanding the frame down super hard Also a flat bed would be cool but I think a regular bed would be cooler

A “mini” nasty red would be sick!! Go with what you said about the lift. And the rims 22x14 forces but instead of polished do like a flat black like Jacks GMC. And flat bed with a 8 inch stack.

Custom seats, it will be easier to match the rest of the materials that you have. Keep the bed, consider a dump kit for it.

I would keep the stock ride height and just replace the suspension with OEM parts. It would almost be like a factory longhorn with upgraded rims and tires.

I would say no flatbed unless you going to be like a custom Fifth Wheel Towing package but I prefer the truck bed and with the interior I would say reupholster and the way you're talkin about but it's looking good

Put all new steering componets. Same height lift as on the king ranch so you can haul goose neck, and yes try to keep the bed but if now Able to flat bed it

I say just buy long horn seats. Go with the 5 inch lift and 2 inch spacer. 38×15.50 tires and 26×16 wheels. And get a really nice gloss black non skirted flatbed

I would do custom seats and I would like to see you use the regular bed and not flatbed it I also think just go with the 5 inch lift and that’s it don’t make it 7 inches that’s just my opinion 🤷‍♂️😂 love how this build is going so far

Instead of just doing the standard seat generation swap, get those seats completely redone with custom stitching and such. Much cooler than just shopping and swapping. Just my opinion. If you’re doing all the interior custom, might as well have custom seats. Plus 4th gen seats I don’t think would match the era with 2nd gen dash and door panels.
