1. reframe your state of mind 2. work on your self worth 3. find a strong support network 4. break down your goals and celebrate small victories 5. talk it out also, remember: you’re human, you’re going to make mistakes. that screw up feeling? that’s called youth, and youth is eternal so we’ll always have our downs, but you got this ❤️

Having the mindset of "Ah i don't deserve it" is the worst thing you can ever do to yourself.. Because in the end anything you achieve will be the result of unimaginable amounts of hard work and patience.. Your own hard work and your very own patience.. So stop having this mindset

@@ju999X look, you might even be a big ahole, and be right for stating it, maybe you'll fix that, maybe you don't, but in order to tackle it in the future you have to take care of your over all mental state, physical state and your environment; consider it part of an incremental problem isolation strategy. in order to fix X maybe it's ok to pretend Z is not happening. don't be your own prosecution if there's no defence counterpart to counter it. and if you're struggling for your health, that's a good excuse to be selfish / egotistical against ideologic concepts, like "guilt" and others. -- i gave this advice to my brother about a relationship he broke out of his own fault, but he had to move over it, that's why the "woke" movement is looked down upon for holding people accountable for far in the past sins they have moved away from already...

Self-sabotage often stems from self-hate , this is a problem nobody seems to mention . Many of us have turned our minds into dark and scary places so we seek peace outside but true peace comes from inside and momentary reliefs soon turn into destructive habits.
@HeatherStrickler
@HeatherStrickler 8 ай бұрын
I have heard that self-sabotage is your body trying to protect you even if you aren’t in any danger. For example I am making a big move in the next month and I have gone through waves of my brain literally trying to convince me it’s a horrible idea and try to come up with excuses not to do it. The way I get through it is being aware that that is just my body wanting to stay in my comfort zone. As I’m experiencing this I don’t think it’s a self worth thing it’s a natural instinct from the body to try and protect you. I am not a scientist or anything but I’m in the middle of wanting to sabotage an awesome opportunity for myself and that is the only conclusion that makes any sense to me and what I’m feeling. I’m sure there are other reasons too but I think the main one is your body wanting to stay where it’s comfortable even if that comfort zone is terrible for you.

My issue is that I'm too hard on myself when I get or do something wrong; recently, I've started trying to learn German so I can study abroad, and whenever I forget how to spell or pronounce something, I'll berate myself and say stuff like "I should have known that!" or "of course I got that wrong..." Thankfully I'm working on not being so harsh on myself, and instead will say something like "oh that's how you spelled it!" or " I'll remind myself to practice more on that pronunciation later." I guess just expect better of myself, but need to remember that learning anything let alone a new language is tough , and I won't be fluent overnight. "Rome wasn't built in a day" as the old saying goes.

I call myself mistress of procrastinating. I know where my mistakes are and how to avoid them, I tried to make small goals. And finally turned to a friend for support. She wants to be my push to get me to do it, my pillar for frustration, my help for when I need it. And here I am. I'd never lie to my friends. Yet I lied to her, saying I'd work on it while I was again procrastinating. And I'm so mad at myself about it. She didn't deserve me lying to her. All I can do now is to make up for it by catching up with the load of work I should have finished by now.... (but alas, I didn't do anything again today and the vicious circle keeps turning)

"Do you deserve success?" Re whatever is valuable to you. This can be part of self-worth. Do you deserve to be happy? I have ideas for novels but I never write. I always put it off. I might exit this life without writing anything. This is self-sabotage.
@_imdope

Success is such a difficult word to express. What even is "success"? How do people value it? Why is it called "success" and not "living"? Also, who cares if you're being "successful" at the end of the day? Does it even matter if everyone knows you? I tell you what: no, no it isn't. Success is personal, meaning that you defy what "success" is, not others. It has standards, yes, but the society decided it. But who cares? Not me for sure. You're the one defying success. The closest to being "successful" is following your dreams, but even if you don't, what tells you that you're not being "successful"? If you want to be an astronaut, but end up being a mechanic, but you're feeling great with yourself, why shouldn't this be a "success"? I mean, you're happy with your life, aren't you?

I want to address the making mistakes. It's one thing to forgive yourself. But it's another thing to try and drown out and not internalise the negative messages from others who chastise you (boss, parent etc) for not being perfect or getting it right. Self acceptance is very important. But you also might have to cut ties with the person doing the shaming or even minimizing time spent with them

I'm in this black....space. This place might be endless, I've been walking here for hours? Days? Maybe months, I don't know. But the thing is it's not dark, yet it's a black space. There will be places that are, like, uhm...holes? They are so bright that you'll think it's completely white. In those holes, there's my people. 1 hole per person. The space I have to travel from one hole to another varies. Maybe the closest person one to me is a little closer, while others are far. They can't enter my space, black space. Or more likely I don't let them. But I can enter their bright sides; when I need them, when they need me, when they want me. But I still get back to my place. I've traveled this space, left some holes behind. Traveled to new ones while taking some with me. I don't recall this place as a not-black space. It has always been black. There are times where in this place is a little brighter and now it's gloomier (is that a word?) than ever. I'm scared. I'm scared of this place because it feels like I am not in control, not with the uncontrollable matters but with everything. Everything. I can't control the noise here, nor how far the spaces of holes, I, I just can't control them. I can't control anything. It's like the ones that control me are the ones outside this black space. Those holes. My facade is falling apart. People might see that this place is not a "bright-cozy-warmth place" this is just pure blackness. I don't need saving or maybe I do, I am not a damsel in distress, but I've been navigating this place alone. All I need is people to be with me in this space. Those person(s) who's not bound with my walls, but can enter this space with ease. I needed someone to be with me. If you ever hear my plea, cry and howl, please, come to me, be with me, save me. The solid space I'm walking is turning to liquid, I might get drown while being lost. Yes, this is what I feel for the past months since I finished high school, everyone is expecting me to go to college, I expect me to go to college, but based on the situation I'm in, give up studying now for next year or continue what I started but never wanted, are the options I have. I'm not ready for this (no one of us does), for college nor adulting. I have great plans ahead of me, but they are all shattered to pieces, now I'm stuck in a breaking situation. This seems shallow for other people, but for me it's not. This will decide how my life will turn out. Thank you for reading if you do and reach this point. I share this here because I don't want to be a nuisance to my friends again, these are my problem not theirs. You don't have to think about this. It's just, thank you for reading.

I literally don’t work I feel more than unmotivated I feel unwilling to do anything productive I just want to sit here and drift until death… I do the bare minimum to survive despite my ability to be very creative and intelligent. I feel lost. Ik much about the power of the mind and the practice of self mastery yet I cannot budge outside of my small weak mindset no matter how hard I try or the practice of breaking bad habits. Nothing every last. I always fall back into temptations that only zap my will while I’m already down trying to get up only making the depression worse. It’s like I’m in a whirlpool… hope I could get some advice… preferably from someone who is not religious.

I self-sabotage myself for a very long time. I don't think of myself as worthy of presents or achievements. Well, too bad my parents don't care about me and I don't have gf or friends who could support me as well. I've tried seeking professional help but doctors don't help (instead they are mocking me for having low energy and unemployment) plus I don't have money to pay them so I kinda just procrastinate. It's important to talk it out to people but sadly I don't have such people who could listen to me, who could understand me or help me with a piece of advice.

I have a really hard time with the growth mindset. I consistantly run away from my responsibilities and it's so bad that I have spent 3 years failing high school, I don't see any hope of passing or having a decent future. I probably can change my mindset to become better, but after so long of dreaming and not acting I just don't want to go through the pain of finding hope and then losing it again. I want to stop doing this to myself but I don't think I ever can.
