The person keeps changing email addresses sent from gmail. They are sending a link to an unnamed club in a multimedia message consisting of 20 people. I keep blocking and sending to 7726 but it keeps happening. I have not replied or clicked on link hoping this jacked up person would quit. Been going on for 2 weeks now. 🙄🙄 What the hell is wrong with people??

@ Jean Barraza - I’m having this same issue now for the past couple of weeks. What makes it worse is all 20 people respond back “STOP” so I’m get all of those messages too. It’s SO annoying. Did you figure out how to make it stop?

They have been spam messaging everyday but it’s an actual phone number so I blocked them but then I always get another one with a different number and they always say my name in the messages

Blocking the number isn't going to solve the issue, forward the message to 7726 to feed the algorithm so your phone carrier will be able to filter out the spammers before they even get to you.

Man u saved me, thanks a lot, cuz today I've received a fckng group chat from an email very annoying , and I asked the group how to get outta there and they say there's no way out. And been blocking those messages many times and nothing happened at all. And watching few videos I just got urs man and when I've typed the number u gave me it popped up from my network company.. no cap 🧢🧢

I have tried to forward the number to 7726 but when I put in the 7726 it does not come up with anything so It is not going to do anything if you hold your thumb on the test and a list pops up it has reported as spam on there.

I've been reporting 5 a day for the past two years without a skip in any day... I know they're coming from the same source because they all have a specific word in them.... I think there's nothing you can do...

There should be a way to block messages from numbers not on your list of contacts like one can do with unwanted phone calls from unknown numbers

@@Quantum3691 looks like the same setting blocks unknown callers and messeges in droid. Would be nice to use it at night. But would probably be a hassle during the day if you're getting calls from your dentist, doctor, other random businesses in which you haven't created a contact for everybody that might call you.

All of the text spam I get hijacks someone's legit number. If I report that the person might be block, but the spammer just gets another number to hijack. This issue is deeper than this solution.

Thanks for the tip. I asked my carrier if they're aware of some law change that has motivated the spammers to start this texting spam? They had no answer. I've been doing this. However, it still takes more time than I have to deal with this invasion of my privacy. These folks are using rotating numbers so it's a gradual never-ending intrusion. Are there any other options? This is sooo irritating. Blessing Dude..., appreciate you.

The number sequences are infinite no matter which area code you get them from. That's why people get continuous spam texts even if you block some.

There is a new variant which is sending out group texts which doesn't have the normal option of block number. I have been actually having to write it down and add the number manually to a contact that I named Spam Text. Once added I can do a long press and block number. This is super time consuming and looking for a better way.

@Linda Pettigrew I’ve sent like 50 of those email addresses to Verizon and I haven’t seen any changes. I tried contacting google to see if they can ban the asshole from making email accounts, but google support is using COVID as an excuse to not have any service available.

@@user-cq6dg6ql9j I've heard through Verizon, you block domains from texting you. So for me, the domain of the emails are always gmail. So I can essentially block all emails from texting me. Because if someone wants to email me, I'll tell them to email me, not text me.

I have an android Tracfone and with the elections coming up I set so many spam msgs a day and you can spam them but just get more. I'm trying to figure out how to delete them all. Can only delete or spam one at a time and takes too long. Also been trying to figure out how to select and delete like I can do on my call log but haven't been able to figure it out. I went into app and not finding a solution. Anyone know, thanks in advance.

What is the difference between that and blocking the number itself? I ask because every time I do they just generate a new number to get through. Just curious if you know the answer to that but other than that thanks for the info

Assuming people report and phone company s report, no question they do, so if people do then ALL the information is analyzed and the FCC or whoever will target the spammers. There is a system in place..

I think I need something a little more preventative. This is more like instructions on something you can do AFTER getting the text which is too late because I am already pissed off by that point. As far as I'm concerned my phone number is private property, no solicitors permitted.

Thank you. On my phone I had to list 7726 as a contact because my phone would not recognize it. So I added 7726 as the phone number and SPAM as the name and saved it. Then followed through with the instructions of sending the number where the message came from. Hope this works.

I wrote eight months ago, "No good. we don't all have smartphones. too much text message spams and no way to complain to how to stop them. How 'forward' if not a smartphone ?" But in fact after navigating through my flip phone and becoming more familiar, in fact it IS possible to FORWARD a text message to 7726. Also, results of stopping the 'SPAM' do not occur in just a few days or hours, but instead may take a few weeks. User must just be patient and keep on forwarding each spam message to 7726, and eventually most if not all the spam's will stop.

It's being sent as a sms through your carrier email to text gateway. From my understanding you can call your carrier and ask them to disable the email to text gateway. That is if you don't need to receive emails via texts. Personally I haven't tried it yet mostly because of laziness. Also this is kinda the first time that I've started to receive emails via text spam. I'm thinking a friend who got his phone hacked awhile back, the hacker got his contacts. So that could be why I'm getting this type of spam all of a sudden. Hopefully that helps, I got the info via Google.

Nice TRY, but some of the comments on this video said that the method did not work, and you do not say how to "forward" to 7726 when the text message spam's came onto a basic feature flip phone. Some people really DO still use those kind of devices.

So it doesn’t stop spam like the title says? I’ve been reporting to 7726 for over a year and the spam still comes. Worthless video of a guy looking at himself the whole time.
