Join My English Mindset and transform the way you think and feel about your English: bit.ly/3WdR0r1
Do you get stuck in English because you’re translating the words in your head as you speak? If so, this one is for you.
As a non-native speaker, you have to think about so many things as you speak, the last thing you need to do is to translate the words in our head. It slows you down, you’re forced to pause a lot more, and in general, it doesn’t make you feel very confident. And when our confidence is compromised, so is our fluency.
In this video I will share with you 5 exercises you can do on your own, every day, that will train you to think in English, speak faster and get stuck less.

I wanna share with you guys what I do to get better on my English pronunciation. I put the subtitles on the videos (I did it in this video) and then I start reading the dialogue. At first it was kinda frustrating because I could keep the rhythm, but now, after month of practice, I can tell you guys, I've been improving my pronunciation, vocabulary, rhythm and intonation. And in some how, I stopped translating on my mind. I hope this helps you beautiful people. Saludos Hadar ✌

+Flor Rey You can also watch Disney music videos and read the English lyrics on the subtitles while watching it. I heard of some girls who learned all the words from Disney's Frozen and learned English. Emotion is key to remember.

"Reconcile with the gap between your native tongue and english" This is the very advice I should remind myself of every time I feel stuck and drained while practicing alone I promise I'll start to forgive myself and be more generous instead of getting mad at my slow progress as of now It feels like Hadar is not only an exceptional English coach but also a life-altering psycho therapist guiding those who struggle to turn their weaknesses into their strengths!

Hi, Haddar! I realized that some simple tricks can improve significatively the efficiency of my english learning. I have a mental program in that I spend some time completely without my mother tongue. I begun with a minute and slowly, day after day, I extended the time for longer periods. One minute, two minutes, five minutes, fifteen minutes (What a big achievement !!), and so on. To turn it more realistic, I imagine scenarios where I ve an imaginary person beside to me (someone like you) , whom speaks just English (or any target language). So, when I'm driving, walking, or doing anythyng, I continue practicing the words, idioms and phrases I've recentely learned. You are really great in your job. Thanks a lot.

I think the first step to overcome translation is to listen a lot in the target language when it is spoken clearly but a normal pace (like in this video). But isn’t it too fast? Well, here is the point: it only appears fast because you are translating everything in your head. Thus listening to speech at a normal pace forces you to learn how to understand speech without translating anything. Once you can understand the main idea without translating any single word, you can move to the next stage - learning how to think in the studying language, and this video provides very useful tips for that.

I still keep practice all of them again and again ever since I started changing my mind to better my English skills, so I become fluently in speaking English now. And lots of my foreigner friends do impress me by saying you don't need to improve your speaking skill anymore cuz it's excellent now, but it's actually about there are more rooms to improve it no matter what it's. :) Anyway, Hadar you've done tons of great lessons on ur channel, all things are accredited to you! I like so much your videos because I am studying a degree in English and my big problems are listening comprehension and speaking, and when I watch and listen your videos, I don't know how but I can understand everything that you say. well, not everything but I understand the idea of the message and that is surprising because you speak very fast but at the same time you speak clearly. I am a Spanish speaker and I am trying to listen more things in English to improve my listening but when I am speaking in English, I feel nervous and I forget everything that I learned. I hope that I can improve my speaking in a few time.
