hell yeah! i started stretching a year ago & my ears were relaxed enough i could size up pretty fast at the start but since i reached around 2mm naturally its taken a little more time between sizes (currently at 6mm) but its been Entirely painless by just trusting my body's signals and not rushing my body (:

I SO wish my friends and I had easy access to this info when we were trying to stretch our lobes in the early 2000s!! I probably won’t stretch my ears again but I really appreciate your educational content, it’s made piercings a lot less scary for me to heal, I know how to do it properly now! My 2 new nostril piercings have been healing with almost no irritation and I’ve never had such a successful healing experience before with other piercings! Thank you for doing what you’re doing, Lynn!

This video was so interesting! I don't have stretched lobes, but I've had a set of 16g studs I wished I could wear in my lobes but thought they wouldn't fit, since my ears are pierced at a 20g. Hearing you talk about natural stretching inspired me to try - they fit right in. Thank you!

I'm honestly grateful for this video. I recently bought a stretching kit with 0.5mm increments because 1mm stretches weren't working and my ears take 2-3 months to go up a half size. I thought something was wrong with me since so many other vids show people blazing through at a 1mm/month rate. I feel a bit better now. I'll keep on taking it slow. Thank you!

I'm at 9.5mm after 3 years of naturally stretching my previously sewn lobes! At this point, I'm focusing on the nutritional essentials for collagen support on top of massage. I've found when I'm taking good care of my body from the inside, they ease up much quicker (although my journey will always be about 2x slower due to the scar tissue from the previous surgery) than when I'm less mindful about nutrition. For anyone frustrated with the time it's taking them, remember that it's a journey to be enjoyed. It's cooler to listen to your body than it is to get the biggest, blown out, thinning lobes the fastest. Plump, happy lobes are the ultimate payoff!

So thankful for people like you giving accurate, up to date information! I started stretching roughly a year ago, and I watched videos and read articles until I felt like I had enough information to safely stretch my lobes. I was wrong. I had no idea that tapers were not safe. I thought it was the recommended way, but I just didn’t do enough proper research. Thankfully, I’m at a 2g and have never had any issues or blow outs, but I’m so thankful I have found the proper information on how to safely stretch before I screwed up my ears! In the future, I’ll be stretching this way only. Thank you!!

I've just started to watch your videos and watching these particular videos on stretching ears has made me miss mine so much. I was stupid and naive when I was younger and improperly stretched mine till one of my ears had a massive blowout that lead to it almost completely ripping my lobe. (There's a small piece of my ear that is still connected) I'm wanting to get it reconstructed and eventually, if its possible for my ear, stretch them properly. I watched your video about stretching after reconstruction and it helped me have a game plan for when I do finally fix them. I have also accepted that if it's not possible that it just isn't for me. Your videos are so informative and very helpful! ❤

I know for me , it was a gradual stretch . I am at a 0g now but it took me almost a year to get there. I have small ears and am prone to infections . So it was a gradual process , once there was no more irritation and I could remove and insert the original plug with no issues I knew I could go up a size. I honestly think that gradual stretching should play a high role in modification. Know your body and how the tissue heals .

In all of the videos I’ve seen before about natural stretching/dead stretching, to me, they always feel like they exclude sizes below a 2g or 4g because they often rely on the weight of the jewelry. Because of this, even though I knew dead stretching was healthier, it felt mostly unachievable for me because I’ve got one ear at a 6g and the other at an 8g. However, the way you explained it made it clear that even smaller sizes work with this, so I’ll definitely do this in the future!

This video is very beneficial to me because I got one of my lobes done when I was younger by a piercing gun at Claire’s and that piercing has quite a bit of scar tissue that’s kind of hard and the other one that I also got done at Claire’s like a year ago because I’m impulsive and I hated people asking why one Lobe is pierced and the other isn’t I had a bit of complications with it healing because I neglected to clean it so there’s a slight scar on it but the piercing itself is softer and malleable and I got a gauge kit on Amazon. I know that’s not recommended but I’m pretty sure it is sort of surgical grade steel, I personally don’t have any bad experiences with metal reacting I also just don’t have the stretchiest skin in general. It’s very firm. But I do have patience and personal water-based lubricant so I think I’m going to do it. I’ve been thinking about it for a while.

I’m piercing care certified, I love natural stretching, I had to use tapers for the smaller sizes but after I reached a 2g I was able to do stretches in increments, in my area we call natural stretches “dead stretches”. Despite the name dead stretches should not be painful, you’ll sometimes feel twinges but not rips or blow outs

Yes, I love glass plugs, been dead stretching with them since I was at 8g, now at 7/16"and I brought the in-between sizes at 7g, 5g, 3g, 1g and 9mm and they helped a lot to me. Stretching with single flare glass plugs was easier than the taper method.

When I first started stretching my lobes I think I went from 18g to 12g painlessly within about a week. I had my ears pierced when I was 4 months old and started stretching right before I turned 18 so the tissue was just chilling. I don't recommend doing what I did - I also used tapers because I didn't know better - but this is just to prove that stretching can absolutely be easy and painless when your ears are ready. When I got to larger sizes it did get harder, largely because I didn't wait long enough and also because the tapers I used skipped sizes. I didn't even know in-between sizes like 1g existed. I'm at 0g/8mm now and have been for a few years. I remember trying to size up to 00g "just for fun" and the taper just went right in one of my ears with ease. The other didn't want to stretch though so eventually I just let the 00g side shrink back down to 0g and I'm very happy with this size. It's big enough that there are obviously huge holes in my earlobes (idk why I love that lol) but not so big that I have trouble finding jewelry. Plus I have fun party tricks like being able to fit a combination lock (for like half a second - not tryna destroy my untrained lobes with the weight) or a pencil through the hole lol

I will say this, Glass is cheaper and looks so much better, but oddly, sometime glass doesnt work as well as metal, lately, my girlfriend has decided to stretch her ears, and when it came down to putting in the next size of an 8G, I bought her a nice pair of Glass, oddly they never wanted to go in, so after a few tries, I bought her a pair of metal ones, and they slipped right in with no problem.

@@Lynn_Loheide they measured pretty accurate oddly, which I didn't understand, but the way I think of it was her bodies way of saying no to glass lol, as for me, I'm at 16mm, and my right ear wasn't havening it until I hunted down a 15mm plugs, because even through years of slow stretching, I built up a small blowout without knowing, and it's only been in the last 5 years that I have gained huge amounts of good knowledge that I wish I knew 15 years ago.

I know I’m not the norm but I personally have very elastic skin and managed to stretch using tapers without any pain and rather fast as well. I started in September last year and I’m at 10mm now and my lobes look super nice and healthy! I also never forced anything and I allowed it to take up to 2-3 days just to stretch one single size in one ear. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else though and I will to be relying on natural stretching going forward.
@Lynn_Loheide
@Lynn_Loheide 2 жыл бұрын
I have seen sooooo many clients who say this. They feel like they have this magical skin and stretch super fast and everything’s great. But then they get to these larger sizes and the damage becomes more apparent. Thats not to say there aren’t cases where this /can/ happen for example folks with EDS have medically elastic skin as EDS effects skin and connective tissue. And often folks with EDS do find the can stretch much quicker then normal. But the majority of the time I see people say this they are causing damage they just don’t know it yet. Even if you did have something like EDS allowing you to stretch quicker there’s still no need for tapers! Especially not if your skin is so elastic- natural stretching should be especially suited to someone with naturally stretchy skin.

I've never had my ears pierced. How quickly after I get the initial piercing can I put a stretcher in there and what is the smallest size that will fit for someone who's never had their ears pierced? Thanks!

Why not consider getting pierced at a larger gauge?

Is it better to play it safe and start at 16g or would it be okay at 14g? I was pierced at 16g, but I haven't worn that jewelry in over a year. Wore smaller studs since then.

If 14 doesn’t go in easily I would start with 16

do surgical steel tunnels work for this as well? I've always used surgical steel on larger sizes and it *seems* like it is going well

I'm trying to stretch my ear slightly so I can put in some more permanent earrings that are actually meant for lip piercings but they're the best quality flat back earrings that I could find. I don't plan on stretching my ears more than maybe 10 gauge or 8 gauge. But my right ear has been closing up on itself since I got my ears pierced when I was very little. So over time my right ear lobe has a lot of scar tissue around the piercing and my left ear lobe has none at all. Or at least none more than a normal piercing. Would this affect my ability to stretch my right ear? Would there be a limit to how much I can stretch my right ear?

I had my ears stretched previously, they were at an inch. They were kinda thin so I let them close up for a couple months. Now they are pretty small and I’m wanting to stretch again. Is there anything I need to do differently sense they were already stretched? And how do I keep them from getting thin again? I love your videos and trust your advice

I have 16mm stretched lobes and sometimes (I tracked my cycle and I think it’s in correspondence to my hormones) my lobes get itchy and I have to remove my plugs. And When I then try to put them back in, my lobes shrunk in size and it’s a hassle to get them stretched again. Should I go back and stretch again? Or how can I prevent it?most of the times I just use softer plugs (silicone) or different shapes (saddle,teardrop) til my titan double flared fit again. It never really bothered me til I met my now hubby and he could leave his tunnels out for days (12mm) and nothing happens. Or is it just my body/skin? Thank you in advance for any tips 🖤 love your content on all platforms 🫶🏻

Just got my two gauge piercings today, both 10mm. It didn't hurt at first but now my ears are throbbing and I was wondering what I can do to make it a little bit more comfortable for me. Also what glass plugs should I use, I have earrings in right now but in 2 months I plan to go to plugs

I want to start stretching my ears and I want to use the method you described 🥰 I have a question! If I’m allergic to most metals and usually use titanium, would you recommend the glass plugs? I usually swell when I get piercing also, would that be an issue when trying to stretch my ears? Thanks!

@Lynn_Loheide Жыл бұрын
Id still try glass to start! Specifically glass from a safe quality company and with good quality o rings. If you are worried about swelling you can always have a piercer help you at first but it likely shouldn’t be much of a issues because a new stretch isn’t a new piercing or even a wound

I want to try some stretching (I was pierced at 16g and only want to go up to maybe 4-5mm for now). How do you recommend sleeping and making sure the jewelry doesn’t put pressure on the holes, fall out, etc.?

My piercer was able to dead stretch my ears to 8g right from the jump. He thinks it's funny how rubbery my lobes are, lol. It didn't hurt one bit. I don't plan on going much bigger though, maybe a 4 or a 2. I like my small plugs.

I just have standard lobe Piercings what would you recommend as a starter kit or company. I tried to find some online but I would like to use glass but I can’t seem to find 18/16 gauge the smallest ones
