I love whit jeans pants and shorts. So uplifting and clean looking. Style in many ways.

H&M has some really nice flattering white jeans this season.

As a 60 year old I love and appreciate this channel. I don’t want to give up my style yet. Genuinely surprised to find that you Deirdre did not work in media. I was convinced you must have worked at Cosmopolitan or at least Jackie magazine.

I love wearing white trousers/skirt with a navy top. Navy is my black, I’m much paler and have very dark undereye circles. My favorite top for this look is my Lily Silk navy silk knit top with white collar and trim, it’s one of my favorite items from this great brand. (I also have the cream with the cognac trim, love that, too, especially with my Quince cognac silk skirt - another great brand, and only 60 USD for these perfect silk skirts). It’s not that I’m a fabric snob, well, ok, a bit maybe, but I’m allergic to synthetics and cotton is too hot for our California 100F+ summers, so I wear linen, rayon or silk; rayon is such an underrated, breathable fabric, I love it, it just needs to be thick and high-quality. Zara always makes some nice dresses in good-quality rayon and lovely modern prints.

I have several blue and white striped shirts. Ranging from narrow to wider stripes. Hadn't thought of wearing the shirt as shacket and love the brown shoes! I love blue and brown together. ty

I picked up a pair at Belk this weekend. They are pull on with fake pockets. (Elegant and non see through) The quality is excellent. I believe they are Crown and Ivy. Best pair I’ve ever had

Thanks for more suggestions on white jeans. I personally love them, and although the rules have relaxed and some wear them year round, for me, it's a traditional sign of summer to bring them out, with gusto as the temps rise. And put them away so I can equally excited to see them the next year. I think their short season (where I live) is why they are so special to me. Love your ideas.

Excellent practical video, thank you Deidre! At 5'1" my hourglass needs a little help as a white or light colored jean or pant can shorten the look. While this can be rectified with a heel, my best look was a slim leg jean with a sparkly white trainer and tank, worn with a long (sheer) floaty duster over. Tried on a pair of high waisted jeans last week, which gave everyone a laugh as the waist extended to the bustline, then when I did the bend test, they proceeded to slide down the body, pooling in the crutch area. Not my most confident look. Too much elastane is not my friend!

Definitely like this video on two accounts. Number one, I appreciate the suggestions of how to style the various cuts of white jeans, along w/ you modeling the styles. And, secondly, thanks for reminding us of the cuts & fabric weights that best suit each body shape & silhouette!

I usually have some shade of a tan in the warm months…I like a white top with white jeans. I’m only 5 ft tall so the monochromatic color works well for. I sometimes have trouble with the “thirds” rule.

I love to wear white anything, but I tend to shy away from white pants , especially jeans coz I’m an apple, and a bit bottom-heavy. I feel more confident now to try on a white pair after watching this video coz now I know which type of jeans should I look for. Hi Deirdre! I'm so happy you made this video. Now I have a better idea of what to look for when I shop for new jeans next week. My body shape is currently rectangle but is attempting to identify as a hybrid pear/apple. It's like bodily ADD. 😄 High waisted bottoms work well on me so I'll look for those in a slim straight and/or bootcut. Thank you for helping narrow down to the best options. Also, I absolutely LOVE your light blue slingbacks! They look perfect for your feet, especially with the blue jacket.

I love white jeans! I have only 2 pr of jeans- a straight white & a dark boot cut..I am an hourglass shape, so I feel good in those styles.

Spontaneously I thought of a navy sweater or blazer when I read the catchword "white jeans". It would be a great combination too, very classic, very naval... But you found other matches. Your sky blue blazer is gorgeous. The grey t-shirt looked somehow cosy. A combination, which my daughter in law recently surprised me with, was white (trousers) and yellow (jacket) . Like egg yolk and egg white.... :-)) She has long blonde hair (a bit ashier than yours) and looked just sweet. So, "white" offers a wide range of possible combinations. I love white jeans I'm a semi hour glass with heavier top (chest shoulder) waist slightly defined, hips smallest. I prefer skinny leg jeans altho they fell from grace last couple years.

I have several pairs of white jeans, some are straight leg and some are skinny leg. I love them all and usually wear a brightly colored top with them. In cooler months I wear a neutral V-neck sweater with them. Today is definitely a jeans & sweater type day in Northern CA.

I do wear a lot of white jeans. A couple of years ago, I got white jeans with 4 inches of lazered eyelet at the ankle. I love white with everything! I am hard to fit and need straight legs. All of the women in my family were hour glass with thighs. I had my saddle bags lipoed off about 25 years ago; it was a great move!

I struggle with wearing white jeans but I love them. I see yours are snug creating ridges. I struggle with that look especially on me. I am a pear shape, 5'1" size US 10 PETITE. Is there a jean style that doesn't make ridges or is it a size thing? Love love love what you do.

I saw a lady, probably in her 70's, wearing white straight jeans with a blue chambray shirt. It looked very fetching. I have a figure, much like yours. And I have found, on rare occasions, that a short top, that comes slightly below the waist, looks good sometimes. But only if it creates upside down triangle, where shoulder angles point towards the waist. Also white jeans tend to make the legs look larger, an advantage to a thinner legged woman.

Great advice on white jeans.. very hard to get it right. You always look like you have a lovely glow about you.. do you use a fake tan at all? The only reason I ask is that I’m a woman well into my 50s and I really can’t stand the sunbathing anymore. Going on a cruise in August.. there will be no time for sunbathing.. but I want to look brown? Have you any tips ?? Xx

I enjoyed your video very much. I am originally from England but left when I was a young girl with my parent's and moved to America many many years ago. Now,, to get to your fashion (for me). I am only 5' 1" and pear shaped. Very narrow shoulders, small at top and my weight is around hips and thighs. I am also a senior citizen age. I think the white jeans look very nice but for me, I think they make me look even shorter. I am short to start with and with with thick thighs, I don't think they are the best choice for me, even with your pear shaped recommendations. I think if I was taller it would be ok to wear these white jeans. I also don't wear heels, pointed toe shoes or flats either. I have several pairs of wedge heel sneakers though in different colours and I also wear little ankle boots with about a 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch heel in cooler weather. But at my age now, just cannot wear high heels or anything with a pointed toe. I wish I could wear white jeans, trousers, especially with hotter weather but just don't think they look good on me these days. I did wear them when I was younger, 20's, 30's and early 40's but was slimmer then in the hips and thighs.
