Fantastic video Bruno. I'm just growing a beard for the first time at 60. I know..sounds odd but I've always had a job in the military and then Law Enforcement which restricted me from doing so. I'm at seven weeks now and am loving it. Your style of beard is exactly what I'm shooting for. Wish me luck, and I look forward to viewing all your posts. God Bless, Billy Mike

Oh I absolutely loved everything you’ve said, regarding cutting the sides of the beard to make it look sleek and long. I, with no prior knowledge, was always against the idea of cut-trimming it, so naturally I agree with you. Everything else you’ve said is equally great. Thanks for the tips and you have a great beard and mustache by the way. I love the concept of long beards, and I support you for your goal of reaching the third button of the shirt 👍🏻 New subscriber.

Hey man love the vid and the beard. I’ve been so tempted to just cut my beard back real short because it is so scraggly looking. I have a fairly long beard but the hair is thin. I’ve never fixed it shaped it or put anything in it. Mainly because I’m clueless but today I decided to check out some videos and your popped up. I wish there was away I could send you a photo and get some pointers but I will continue to watch the videos. Thx for taking the time to help us out

At 2:53.. loved that! I joke that that "this is my comb..." and raise my right hand, "and this is my brush!".. and raise my left. For real- I'm a 45-yr old woman, don't own a comb or brush, am super low-maintenance in the personal grooming department. I do all my hair styling with my fingers, rarely use product in my hair, wear makeup (above and beyond facial moisturizer and lip balm) maybe once/month and that's usually just eyeliner.

Thank you very much for this. I have developed my approach learning primarily from The Beard Baron, and Eric Bandholz, and you. I don't use a hair dryer, and for some months now have trimmed only the hairs growing into my upper lip. The past week or so I've used a bit of Castor Oil as you suggested for a thin spot, then Natural Man beard oil, Murray's Beeswax, and Layrite Cement. I had made the same mistakes you showed; now my beard is abour 4.5 inches and I think the 0.25 inch surface combing will help a lot. Should I work VO5 into this routine? Change it in any way? Your information, advice, and demonstration is simple, clear, and useful. Greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your professionalism.

Any advice for guys with curly beards like mind. I use Jhirmack shampoo for gray hair and I use the VO5 for gray hair as well. On mornings that I have more time, instead of VO5, I use Clubman Pinaud oil, conditioner, and balm. I also let my beard air dry. Never use a dryer.

Dude, amazing. My beard is honestly quite messed up. My first several jobs when I was 17-24, they all required clean shaven daily. So, I had to shave daily and I had no clue how to do it properly. I used cappy shaving cream and terrible 5 bladed cartridge razors that just pulled and scrapped my skin and hair. My skin and beard hair got so messed up from it, along with a sleeping on my left side constantly haha. I grew it out and saw how messed up one side was vs the other. My mustache area looks weird and grows oddly. I've been practicing with a hollow ground straight razor when I need to shave. It's tough, but it doesn't mess up my face as bad at all. I also don't have to shave all the time now. I wish I knew all this stuff before haha
