It's a trap. Don't fall into it. Comparing your beard to others. Several factors make your beard unique 1. Color 2. Coarseness 3. Curl 4. Porosity 5. Density 6. Skin condition 7. Genetics

Thank you for this vid Gray! The perfect motivation for me. I am 2months in and get compliments all the time but I also fall into that trap where I look at guys with beards like yours that are full around the lips and high on the cheeks and I get sad. Thanks for boosting my confidence.

It's because of great bearded gentleman like you that I've learned to embrace my beard. I've learned that in most cases we're our own worse critics and while I used to see the faults in my beard others just saw a beard. Now I embrace those faults and try to wear & style my beard to enhance my strengths and in doing so I've grown to love my beard. Cheers to you sir & thank you for the great channel. I've learn so many great tips from watching it and my beard looks the best it's ever look because of it.

Been growing a beard now for 8 months and went to the barber and got my first major trim which it needed badly. Looks a lot cleaner but it wasn't the perfect trim by no means but i guess it will fill in with time and i can always shape it as it grows back out again to a longer length. Your videos are wonderful and you earned a new subscriber. Cheers and beard on!

George, thanks for the encouragement. Cause my beard is at close to three inches, and it's still super curly (mostly on the sides-Goatee area back to ears), front starting to strengthen out (gray and silver coming in mostly in front goatee area), the hair on my head is just spiral curls, (wear it long, about middle of back). You mentioned that after all the white came in your beard lost the curls, is this common? Our if you just have super curly hair and beard, that's what it is for life, cause I'm 55 and I don't see the curls letting up at all, ha ha. Any ways again, thanks for your time you give us with your beard and life wisdom, love watching and learning from your videos. Please keep it up brother George, and God bless.....

I feel like the main thing with people growing any kind of hair is the fear of the unknown, because you feel like you could be wasting your time growing something and looking odd for an outcome your going to not like anyway, which makes it very difficult to not compare yourself to others, it keeps you going, saying oh when its longer I think it'll look like this or this, its good but doing it too much is unhealthy

Ive actually started making my own oils and blams recently. Ive been giving them away to get feedback and if it’s positive I may start trying to sell them. Personally I love them and I love experimenting with different oils and aromas. I tend to focus more on oils that moisturize as well as have relaxing aromatherapy properties. Ive been making 3 different scents for each of the 4 seasons. I hope other people like them as much as I do lol i also plan on selling some veggies at farmers markets and selling the oils and balms there as well. I just wanna spread the love of beard care and make come extra cash doing it

Hi George, i have been growing a beard for 1.5 years. Thanks for the vids!!!! I've been trimming the front bottom to encourage it to curl under. Currently, when I blow dry as you recommended my beard curls-out in the front instead of laying straight down. What do u recommend along with letting it grow to make it look decent for work?

@Gray Bailey Is there some kind of acne, or follicle inflammation of sorts that kills your follicle? Because I have some kind of acne or similar and I'm guaranteed that I've lost beard (beard have become more patchy) in the last 2-3 years. Do you have any information on this?

I totally get it George... I get a load of younger gentlemen stating that they wish they had a beard like mine, but as I say to them, ya gotta rock what ya got...no matter what size it is...and as I also say to them, it's all to do with genetics.. point blank... I'm lucky I have a nice full beard...good genetics on my fathers side...my great uncle had an epic moustache... anyways.. another inspiring video as always

Thanks for the words of encouragement George. I have curly beard and wish it was more strait. If I'm hearing you right the longer it gets the less it will curl?
@ListenMySon8 жыл бұрын
It seems with many guys, that when they start to turn gray, the hair gets straighter. I became gray quicker than most guys do so I dont feel I can speak for all men. However the longer the hair, the easier it is to straighten. Peace.

Great video again George. I have a question, how do you get your hair cut? What I mean when I ask that is, what would I tell my barber to have it look like yours? Also, what is your favorite cigar? I just started smoking cigars about a year ago and I'm still trying to find that perfect one. Thanks

How is called when your beard slit in the end? (08:11 of the video) I heard once that when your beard reached that point, it will keep growing "forked". It doesn't look cool at that point. Is that true? Thanks! Great beard and videos.
@ListenMySon8 жыл бұрын
Every beard grows different. But you are right about forking at a certain length. sometimes it is the result of the curl though and length would cure that.

Hi George, You talked in more detail about this in another video, I can't find it back, but you mentioned alittle about it here, at what point of beard length do you stop shaving the neck line above adams apple? Also my lower lip there's hair in the center but it's not very long and it's more bald on each side, will it ever grow in full? like a sharp line all the way across like yours? (And i'm not comparing) haha
@woogdesigns7 жыл бұрын
Jake Boss at the point where you can no longer see the neckline or whenever it's comfortable for you! The neckline is very important in giving your beard that fullness, in my opinion the earlier the better. As far as your lower lip, mines the exact same way! Mine will probably never come in, but I've grown to love it. I feel it gives it more character! Hope that helps!
