A Mom for Every Season

Күн бұрын

Today’s video is all about sensory bins & how they can help as a speech therapy tool at home! I share different words & phrases that we use while we play with the them.
Sensory Play is great for language development, motor skills and connecting with your child!
I hope you enjoy these toddler sensory bins and that these tips help in encouraging your toddler to speak more.
✨Note: I am just a Mom sharing her experiences and tips with a toddler speech delay. My son has had amazing success with speech therapy and I do recommend seeing your family Doctor and a Speech Therapist if you suspect your child has a speech delay.

This looks like fun. Not sure if my kid would sit still long enough, but definitely something I'd like to try. Maybe not the jello though LoL I liked the color sorting

Lol the jello wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be. My son doesn’t usually sit still for long too but I’m very surprised how well these keep him entertained

This is such a great idea! My three oldest have been through speech therapy and never got to do anything like this. I really like the search and find straws box, that would be great for my 2 and 5 year olds. Oh the Pom poms is a good idea too! And I could get a lot of these supplies at dollar tree! Jello would be messy 🤣 I’m not adventurous enough for that! Maybe outside! I LOVE the water beads idea! Those are so fun! I’m going to get together supplies for these!

Oh gosh thank you! 💗 If Tenny doesn’t put things in her mouth still, you should give them a try! (I wouldn’t be able to do the water beads or Pom poms with Averie though- she still puts everything in her mouth at 20months)

I love the concept of sensory bins. Ours got away from me and the kids made a big mess. How do you manage them? Do you keep them unavailable until you are ready to play?
@AMomforEverySeason
@AMomforEverySeason 4 жыл бұрын
We do keep them away unless we are playing with them. Mainly because my youngest still puts everything in her mouth so we can't have small straws and pom poms everywhere.
