A dating advice question I get asked a lot by women is "Mark, How do you tell if a guy doesn't like you? What are the signs men give that show they're not interested? Which things do I need to look for to be certain he's not that into me?".
Giving dating advice to women on how to tell if a guy doesn't like you is a hugely important part of being a dating and relationships coach! Sadly, not every crush works out, and the last thing you want to be doing is investing your precious time, energy and love into a guy who's not into you and not ready to reciprocate it. Being able to clearly and succinctly read men's signals, so you know when to pull the plug, is a vital dating and relationships skill.
For women, "How To Tell If A Guy Doesn't Like You" is an important dating topic. When you really like a guy, it's easy for your brain to overthink his signals, mistakenly reading something normal he does as a sign of disinterest. It's equally important, however, not to bluff yourself into thinking his feelings are real when they are not. “He leaves gaps as in days without contact.” Wow, this has been an eye opener. The whole time he was playing interested and I thought he just needed space after sex, instead all along he’s been showing subtle hints that he wasn’t interested and that I was just a booty call. Same!! I used to hold on because of "possiblity" but now I'm less inclined. One thing I've noticed is if a guy isn't interested he won't ask you questions out the gate. I give them a small time frame to see communication style, this has helped a lot!! Less time wasted.

Spent investing time emotions and money on someone who says he loves me forever but that is the extend of it . Planning on letting him go out of my life . Thanks Mark! Like someone told me last week, after I said I was still looking for Mr. Right...she shook her head and said "you've got to let the guy come to you". I immediately understood what she meant. What you're talking about in this video...also hit home. I seem to always do too much which I understand is being in the masculine energy, which pushes guys away. Thanks for the advice, you’ve nailed it. This guy I’m talking to was interested in getting to know me and then I’ve haven’t heard from him in a couple of days and he’s 47 years old PLAYING GAMES. This advice is same for men and women. When I was dating, I was always clear if I was interested from the beginning. You could usually tell after a couple dates if you're vibing and want to spend more time with eachother. If he backed away, I would end it there. My current partner and I have been together almost 8 years. We met at a party, talked the whole evening. The next day, he texted asking if I wanted to go for a walk and that turned into dinner. Then texted back and forth until we fell asleep... again through the next day and still can't get enough of eachother years later. The wrong person would have called our behavior "needy" lol

I have been dangling on the end of a hook for 18 months with very mixed signals from him, which obviously means he does not want to commit...he has never been married or had children so has been a bachelor all his life & I see now that I was a challenge...I have never felt this way about anyone before & I get a lot of interest from other guys but the one I really want is appearing to not want to be in a relationship,yet he has shown jealousy when another guy shows interest. I literally feel that I am addicted to him, any advice would be appreciated.

I know exactly what you're saying - it's great reminders. I had been there and I felt like a fool. Not only he was not interested in me he was not being honest about being my true friend. I was just one of the women he would go to for his needs in things. Called me when he wanted me to go buy him food or helped him to do something. :(

maybe I can add this to my last post, I mean how to tell if a guy f.e. likes you more for your physical traits like blond hair or that you're caring and let's say know how to cook, all combined with sexual attraction, rather than for the person you are, like how to know if even he himself tries to make himself believe that he loves you b/c he subconsciously thinks you are a good match...like he sees and likes the good sides of you b/c he wants a good wife and doesn't want to accept anything that doesn't fit his world... but that is not love to me, maybe to him (??, but also don't think so) I think love is to accept s.o. the way he/she is and this way take up the journey and exciting experience of life, not just to fit into the puzzle... but of course he should feel happy with the woman, but how to tell which one is going on ? thanks :)) !!

Thanks for writing in weralia. It's 100% about balance! Crazy crazy crazy expecting a woman to do 80%. Think of what sort of relationships that is going to setup for her... ones where she puts in all the effort! Now in saying that, those numbers will ebb and flow in both directions as time passes. Think of it like tossing a coin, sometimes you get head 6 times in a row, then you get tails 6 times in a row a week later. Overall, it balances out. That's how a good relationship should ALWAYS be.

Hi Mark, Thank you for your videos! I love them! :) A guy I've been talking to for a few months blew me off today. We made plans to have a Skype date since he lives so far away. The day before, he said his work was most likely going to get cancelled because his town was going to be hit with an awful snow storm, so it would be a good day to do it. He reached out to me in the morning and said he had the day off. When I asked him what time he wanted to Skype, he just said he'd "let me know. ;))" I immediately sensed something was off when he didn't get give me a specific time. In the end, I didn’t hear from him all day. Am I supposed to call him out, or do I just not say anything and move on? Would love your advice!!

Thanks so much Ally! I would have called him out on it during the day, yeh. Probably around mid morning if he still hadn't contacted. Not in a mean way, I just would have said "Yo! Sooo can you let me know time for today? All good if you can't but shall make other plans if so. Ally xx", then I would have given him ~90 minutes to reply and assumed the call was off and gone ahead with my other plans.

*sigh*... we met up, it went great. we talked the following day till 12am via text and then nothing from him for the next 3 days.. so I messaged saying 'just making sure you're still alive ;) ', his responses were cold so i left it. 3 days on, he messaged me and I call him out in a jokey way saying Mr flakey ;) ...he pretends he doesn't understand what I mean and laughs it off... i say don't worry, have a great evening :) he responds with tell me what you've been up to the last 3 days you've been off work. I've not responded. As you say and in fact as he said when I met him 'you make time for people you like'...so clearly he's not that into me. What I don't understand is why he's even messaging me at all. Just move on and leave me be! :/

What if he shows some of these signs but continually contacts you? He doesn't put much effort into hanging out but he does text regularly. He will make plans but he will often cancel or make some excuse. I feel like I am being strung along but I can't seem to let him go since it has been going on for so long and I can't understand what he's thinking. He's told me I'm the only girl he's been talking to and that he likes me but I can't help but feel like he's just not doing enough.

Bubbles 66 just ignore him for a while, he's a romeo, non committal but likes the idea of being liked by a girl. he will do that forever. just find a boyfriend who acts like he wants you.

Yeh agree with Jodie. Bubbles he likes having you on the backburner and is giving you JUST enough emotional momentum to stop you emotionally wandering away to a man who would actually be good for you. He doesn't fully want you, he's shown you that with his actions, but for his own selfish reasons want to keep you there to make himself feel safe. 90 days no contact would be my recommendation.

my relationship hasn't been a good one from the beginning. He's lied to me from day one, he's loved me but didn't want to be exclusive and he's married but he didn't want me to see other people. He also didn't want to take me anywhere, we planned vacations and he took his wife. Talk about useless, he never did a thing he said he would do, and no he's not worth it......I don't think that he cheated ONLY because he's insecure about his size and he's soft, I cant get on top lets put it that way. I know for a fact that I deserve SO much better, and have had my far share of offers . I'm waiting on one now, as soon as he's ready I'm done.

Thank you so much for this video Mark. I think I had been too nice to this guy already because he is sick(he has cancer). I don't know if his sickness has something to do with his efforts and the way he treats me. But this relationship just keeps me feeling sad every day and somehow my intuition is telling me that it could be just him making reasons after reasons. After watching tons of your videos, I think I really have to give up now and just be a good friend to him. Sadly, I might have to face the new year without this relationship anymore..
