yessss all of this advice is so important - what i also do is make “period goals” for myself! so i write out a few fun special things that i am ONLY allowed to do on my period - for example, starting a new tv series, wearing a specific set of cute pajamas, or maybe spending an entire day shopping - stuff like that. and basically it gives me a little treat to look forward to every period week after a busy month ❤

how to thrive on your period!! * cramp hacks * slow productivity: do your stuff, but don’t push yourself at your regular pace. go as slow as you want and give yourself breaks * supplements * chromium picolinate * magnesium * teas * matcha (NO COFFEE) * raspberry leaf tea (the of and the week before your period) * balance hormones * regular sleep schedule (7-8 hours a night) * exercise and move your body every day * reduce sugar and have a well balanced diet * reduce stress (meditation, breaks, plan breaks!) * no coffee on an empty stomach or caffeine after 3pm * anti-inflammatory diet (cut out dairy and sugar as much as possible) * balanced diet * EAT LESS JUNK FOOD BRO * dates and dark chocolate are good (stay away from milk chocolate) * colorful fruits * whole foods * protein (chicken and salmon) * workout on period * gentle pilates * yoga * walking * prioritize yourself! * cycle syncing * cycle syncing: creating different routines that align with the four different phases of your cycle * first phase: follicular phase (7-10 days) right after you finish period * high energy levels * estrogen is up * plan ahead and know this is your most productive phase * second phase: ovulation phase (3-4 days) * most energy * glowing; confident; extroverted * make social plans; focus on goals * gym everyday * get the most out of the day * third phase: luteal phase (10-14 days) right before period begins * first half of phase may still be productive * second half is when pms begins * worst week of the cycle * energy dropping * more hungry and cravings * very irritable * sad and hopeless * practice self love; relaxation and self-care routine * journaling; read a book; take some time for yourself * YOU WILL BE MORE HUNGRY, SO EAT * pay more attention to diet * fourth phase: menstrual phase (3-8 days) period days * relax * free time and down time * walk and rest * work ahead on the productive days so you can rest while on your period * homework * listen to your body more * plan your period with your calendar * meal prep * treat yourself and be kind to yourself 💗

I read online that you can refer to follicular phase as Spring, ovulation phase as Summer, menstruation as Winter… and that helped me so much to understand cycle syncing. Now I’m in my « Fall phase » and I know I need to slow down a little bit. Love this video ❤

Perfect timing!✨️ I'm getting mine this next week. Thanks Tam🫶 I always know when my period is close, because I'll start to feel more tired, my weights at the gym will feel harder and heavier, and I start to become a little emotionally sensitive. I'll still workout during my period, but I will shorten and simplify my workout. I'll eat more protein rich and iron rich foods. I also prioritize selfcare even more, so I'll watch feel good movies and lie down while diffusing essential oils, and just listen to my body and relax.

I CANNOT with the perfect timing of all of your videos!! Watching it today (second day of my period) honestly made me feel so much better about where I am right now with trying to figure out my cycle, and I can't thank you enough for it! Also, not sure if you ever do any videos based on requests, but I cannot tell you enough how much I absolutely LOVE your make-up! Would you ever consider doing a crash course video on how to do make-up for us who are still trying to work out what does and doesn't work, what products to use/stay away from, what the products themselves do (I'm still in high school and get a little intimated sometimes hearing others talk about their moisturizers and contour and not knowing what on earth any of them do 😅) Keep up the amazing videos, thank you soooo much!!!

This video was much more needed Tam. I always wanted some realistic steps to manage my periods.I feel so fatigued and frustrated during luteal phase.I can't put my mind into anything so all I do is lazing around and procrastinating. Also cry out of nowhere and top of all that unhealthy food cravings! This phase is last long for 14 days for me and I just feel like I only live with my true energy just for two weeks every month.I'm going to follow these steps. Perfect Time: Okay I was just searching why is it I have trouble falling asleep on my luteal phase and get so sleepy just the week before my period, I was trying to create a routine that revolves around my cycle to make the most of my time. We are women and we have to understand that we gotta work WITH OUR CYCLE not against it. It's a 2024 unsaid resolution for me to put real focus on my health and habits. 2022 was going through it, 2023 was absorbing, learning all the lessons and inference upto this point and 2024 is ACTIONS. COMEBACK ERA FR We gotta take charge of our lives. Work better, study better, eat clean, move more, get sleep, drink water and HONOUR yourself!
