How to tie a Moose Mane Emerger (with trailing shuck)

Hook - Hanak H333 BL #12
Thread - Semperfli Nano Silk 12/0 Black
Trailing Shuck - Crinkle Flash
Body - Moose Mane
Wing - Coastal Deer Hair
Head - Troutstalker (Sooty Olive)
Moose Mane is a great material to work with and it makes really pleasing bodies. It works particularly well on this emerging pattern. Although I have billed this as this weeks river pattern I have had quite a bit of success with it on the Stillwaters.
If you have a pattern that works on both running water and Stillwaters I would love to hear about it in the comments below.

Beautiful pattern and it is a still or moving water pattern for sure. It should be effective with or without the trailing shuck? Do you use Roe Deer more than North American deer? I do for wings, it always seems easier to work with! Very nice neat and durable pattern! I left a message on Instagram for you re: elk
