By far, my most favorite channel. So far, I've installed an over the range microwave, dishwasher and ceiling fan. All by his guide. I'm doing a total master bathroom rebuild, all the demo is done and by his guide, it's going great! Thank you for making these videos!

As an instructional video producer and editor, it makes for a much better learning experience by keeping in mistakes and explaining what went wrong and how you corrected it. Often times these are left out of "How To" videos and many DIY'ers are left in the dark when they encounter the same mistakes. Great video as usual!

Thank you for this very nice instructional video. I really liked that you didn't edit out the mistakes so viewers can see what types of issues come up during installation. It would have been good to show how you made sure the tiles were level vertically too. Also, comments about leaving a 1/8" space to the metal edge trim (you didn't seem to leave any space there). Lastly, showing how you checked and cleaned any mortar that oozed out into the space between tiles to avoid issues when grouting the joints. Again, thanks for this very helpful video.

Isn´t 1/2 by 1/2 required or better "highly recommended" for large format tiles in wet area in order to achieve 95% coverage? When I put the tile on with some good pressure and wiggle., I want to see the mortar ridges collapse and all air come out from behind the tile. I want to minimize air bubbles behind the tiles which over time could hold moisture, right?

Excellent video lots of helpful tips and tricks. I might add a piece of plywood over the tub with some foam tape on the bottom is a great way to protect the tub during construction and after the 1st row of tile is on, you can easily remove and replace it as you go. Another piece vertically as a skirt attached with some 2x2 behind covers the front, really helpful with modern acrylic tubs,, not that I've ever scratched one myself ,,,

Years ago, I had my shower/tub combo re-tiled. The guys finished the job, I took a quick look, and loved it. As soon as they left, I went back into the bathroom to "admire" it some more, and it was only then that I noticed there were no holes to re-attach the faucets or the spout. They had tiled over all of it. lol. Called the guy and managed to catch him before he got too far away. He and his guys came back and re-did the work there. Frankly, they and I had a good laugh about it, but I think they were a bit embarrassed.
