Buckin, I have a Danarm 55 mk2 that came in a bundle of saws I bought. I got it up and running but needs a new bar and chain. The bar is an old Oregon (17746 2163T2191SJ) and I can’t find any cross references anywhere. Do you have any suggestions?

Watching you at the end say you have to go for supper brought back just wonderful memories of being a kid, totally engulfed and enjoying what I was doing, and I heard mom yell that it was time for supper! Thank you, for stirring up that memory, friend! Love you all...❤️❤️❤️ Lieutenant Bradley

I've got a pair of 10-10's. One that was given to me a couple of years ago and one I bought about 50 years ago. That one has never been apart and runs like a champ. I've had a real tough time finding the 'shaped' air filters for them. I had no idea that you could put that long a bar on it! I'm sorry that McCulloch 'went away'. A kid down the street had a go kart with twin Macs on it when I was growing up. It was scary fast!

A sediment bowl is a very good fuel filter, but I'm not too sure about having one on a chain saw; with all the different positions it is expected to run in.

Thats a nice saw. What is the best way to run a saw with a manual oiler? Would love to see a video on that subject. There are none on the Tube.
@BuckinBillyRaySmith2 жыл бұрын
there all different, yo have to be in tune with what yer doin , i lke to run the chain a lil' looser as it tightens when dry
@cameronhamer94322 жыл бұрын
I seen you start many a saw , l was really watching your style . I drop pull , but fortunately I’m left handed . A big advantage when starting the saw . With really powerful saws drop pulling makes it easyer . Seeyah Billy 👍🇨🇦

I agree, I have some shoulder issues and I drop start my saws, use the weight on the big ones to your advantage, I'm right handed and I lift it on the string. Look after the body you young folks 👍
@cameronhamer94322 жыл бұрын
@@rakersdownnz high compression saws are tough to start, even the small ones need speed to get them to started . The drop pull is the best way I’ve ever found to quickly start them . I’m a lefty 👍🇨🇦

The thing that bothers me the most is when people get a little lax in the handling of their saw. Cutting close to the tip of the bar and holding the saw with one hand. Once watched my shop teacher cut off the tips of his fingers on a wood plainer.

I have the smaller version of a McCulloch (no name or model number on it) that looks similar to yours, I tried pulling it but it was seized up. The saw is in pretty good condition and thought there might be people on here that could get it running or use some of the parts ? If you’re interested I’ll give to anyone free, before it goes to the dump. I’d rather not mail it but I would meet you within a reasonable distance. I live and hour north of Seattle. Contact me through here.
