I got to use the same process but turn my truck down got to love emissions on these old trucks I think it's stupid but I live in the only county in my area for a hundred miles or more that does emissions on these trucks
@safetyfirstintexas2 жыл бұрын
use a pyrometer for a week before turning it up so you can get a before and after reading. 950° - 1000° is a good place to be under load. 1300° is waiting for aluminum to go out the tailpipe. imlo.

I did it with out opening the front plate I just opened the little triangle plate on the side of the injection pump and bared the motor over till I saw the Allen head by using a little makeup mirror

Is there any need to worry about priming the fuel pump again after you have adjusted and drained the fuel out? Thanks.
@1stlast2902 жыл бұрын
Do you leave the rod you turned to the twelve o’clock position in the twelve o’clock position, or do you have to put it back to the original seven o’clock position? If not, does the Alan wrench location remain accessible, and is that ok?

Nice job!! I have a 95 7.3 does have a turbo but I would still like to turn it up.

More fuel is pointless if you're not running a turbo, turn the fuel up and all you'll get is black smoke from unburnt fuel more black smoke doesn't make power, boost makes power

Answer this question, would a good turbo(s) and wheel with the feul screw tune utilize that feul and turn it into more power?

@@Captain_Carrots it was a hunk of shit from the get go. Honestly, it was always probably blown up because of a million reasons why these trucks won’t start right. I’ve spent more time and money trying to get that truck running than I care to admit. If it’s a junker, full send it, if it’s a nice truck, I’d do it right and do the turbo kit and injectors. These trucks are gutless either way.
@bigdaddysshop8180Ай бұрын
@@stephengilstrap6154you're right....YOUR STUPID... all you're doing is washing down your cylinders with extra unburnt fuel that gets in your oil pan, thins your oil and you have less lubrication than you spin a bearing or excess fuel makes excess heat and you burn a hole in a piston.
