▼▼ ABOUT ME
I am an Organizational Psychologist with a 14-year career helping those who don't subscribe to the status quo create unique and authentic lives and businesses they love. I believe everyone has a unique set of personality strengths, and my mission is to use my experience in Psychology and Psychometrics to quickly identify those strengths and help people build one-person businesses that bring them joy based on those strengths. I envision a world where people are excited to wake up to the wildly successful businesses they’ve built because they've structured them in ways that align with their personality strengths and passions. I use the power of psychometrics to shortcut discovery, providing concise and effective results without sacrificing quality. See the links below.

Not in entrepreneurship, but going for a career... yes, this is so true for me, too. Perfectionism stops me from even starting things. And when I start I stop in just days because I don't react well to little changes in my routine. And yes, I also see evidence everywhere ( if not I create them myself) that what I want is not for me. It's really sad. I just want to say that all the videos that I've seen from you until now have been really relatable and reassuring to me, I really like your content and the calm atmosphere. Thank you so much! You did it again!

Most definitely, we create what we believe to be true about ourselves. The thing is, it helps to know we do it. At least then when thoughts come we have an opportunity to quickly recover and change course, you know!! I'm so glad you've been finding my content relatable and reassuring 🤗

I love entreprenueship. I want to get into the academic side of it as well as the practical side of it. I feel like it should be treated like science. You should be allowed to develop your own business at university institutions whilst you study so that by the time you graduate you have a fully operational business.

Are you forbidden to start a business on a side while at University where you are?

Yeah, I've got plans to move halfway across the country within a year, hoping to move into a tiny house that I'll have built, and I'm just about to start a business after years of failing to create an income at all. And then my bigger dreams involve making a movie out of my book, so yes, it's been a real thing to just let go of the doubtful feelings and just see what I can do, learning as I go. I'm glad that I never got sucked all the way into the trap of overpriced higher education, but I can see why lots of people still think it's valuable apart from specifics, because education mediocrity can provide a temporary feeling of knowing what you're doing, even if the specific degree turns out to be rather worthless later. I feel naked, even though I know that I'm going after everything my heart really wants and that I'll maintain my habit of self education as I go. It's just surprising to think you're strong enough and smart enough to do everything your parents decided that you couldn't do-- I couldn't do things their way, that's for sure, but I'm suddenly not helpless when I push their hands off my life--- still need to realize that how far I've come is already amazing, and I will go much farther than this.

AMAZING VIDEO! Thanks for sharing it with me. I'm all about experimenting - as you know - but not to the point of burnout. Thank you for this powerful share.

Yes coach 🙌🏾 😁 Experiment -> good. Burnout -> bad 🙃 All jokes aside, you are right coach Jennie, we have to know when to slow down and sometimes I don't listen to the warning signs when my foot is hard on that gas pedal until much later.

@@MsDoryLinda I have been a victim of imposter syndrome for years... Saying I can't have that job as I don't know everything about it or I'm not good fit for that person I like etc... Like I always thought that I had to be 100% for me to even change a job I'm on afraid that I wont do well since I don't know 100%. But the world doesn't work that way... We should just jump and make the move and learn on the way. As you quoted "God doesn't call the qualified but instead qualifies the called"... This quote hit me so hard. I have a question for you..Even though you are a psychologist, how have you not identified this syndrome? And how to go beyond it as it will become delusional as to whether is a situation true or whether it is an imagination?
@MsDoryLinda

Thank you for sharing 🤗 To answer your question, it's a matter of new levels new devils. So at a certain stage you may get to quickly catch Impostor syndrome creeping up and attend to it. Then you advance and the indicators change and you might not easily catch it. That's why self awareness is an ongoing thing. All of us deal with impostor syndrome, be it at a spectrum. You may be on one end of the spectrum and are completely paralyzed by it or on the other end where you experience it and continue on. So like you I live in the reality of that, the issue isn't how well I know or understand psychology but how well I continue to know and understand myself. Makes sense? Because that's when I can respond appropriately, right?

@@MsDoryLinda Totally get it.. New levels new devils.. Haha so true, You are so relatable.. Meaning you can read people's mind. Do you consider yourself as an healer?

I don't believe I've ever described myself like that. I do believe I've been given a gift to see patterns and connect things at a deeper level. The ability to understand people well has actually being strengthened through my emotional intelligence work. So I think it's the combination of curiosity, interest in human behavior and skill to know what do to with what I'm observing. Makes sense?
