Hi Greg, this feature has been in an add-on for awhile, but it only just came into NVDA itself in NVDA 2019.3. For those not familiar with NVDA, it's a free screen reader, which is available from: www.nvaccess.org/ To keep up to date with what is new with NVDA and NV Access (the organisation who make NVDA), you can also follow the In-Process blog: www.nvaccess.org/category/in-process/ Also, the focus highlight Greg passed on the "Vision" settings screen is another new feature which was previously an add-on, it displays a coloured box around the current object on screen as a visual aid.

Thanks Quinten. Being totally blind, I had no idea what those other settings were. I’ve seen you in some of the blind tech groups, do you work with NVAccess?

@@BlindGuyShow Yes, I write our training material (www.nvaccess.org/shop/) and our blog (www.nvaccess.org/category/in-process/) and try to keep a presence in a lot of the forums etc.

Thanks for letting me know. I don’t think there is a shortcut to toggle it on and off.

Not quite a secret, lol. It's been around (along with FocusHighlight) as an NVDA add-on since 2018. 2019.3 switched over completely to Python3, breaking the backward compatibility but bringing the curtain and highlighting cursors in visual context with it. I usually don't use those. Others will though.

@@BlindGuyShow There is Not Currently a KeyStroke for that yet. It's located in Input Gestures > Vision branch. Tap the soon-to-be-defined command once to use it just for this session of NVDA; Tap it twice quickly to always use it. There is not a Run button in the Input Gestures to perform a command straightaway, unlike the digital audio workstation Reaper in its Actions dialog box.
