I had so many monsters to deal with growing up. Mostly with my music. I played the piano and drums. Part of the monsters made fun of the types of music I played or listened to which really annoyed me. The rest of the monsters, instead of just saying “that sounds great” and leaving it at that, chose to go the route “you must be a spoiled only child if you can take all these lessons…”. It got to the point where I didn’t EVER share my music with anyone. Then as I got older, people would ask me why I wasn’t in a band and I just told them that I learned to just play for me and that way there were no hurtful remarks to deal with. Quitting all together would have been the true tragedy. Instead, I play for myself and it makes me happy every single time. I don’t feel the need to share anymore.

I love the real-life experiences that you share with us to emphasize a lesson. I can place myself right in those shoes you use to wear. You are a marvelous teacher.

I was with a man for a couple of years who didn't like what I had done in the past with my art, who didn't like what I was doing at the time and ALWAYS had a better idea of what I SHOULD do. I took an idea of his for a garden path and it was a load of BS which I had to rip out a year later. I remember being in a state of suspended animation because of his judgements. One day I said 'I think I am going to......" and before I even got the idea out of my mouth, the response was "I wouldn't do that! " I hadn't even said what I was going to create! I have actually been flatlining ever since. So today I am getting my paints out. Go me.

Sonia, Today has been filled with synchronicities and I could NOT figure out / predict where my day would lead. I planned to give my kittens a flea bath, visit this particular restaurant, and play a particular game. I took a nap and missed the sunlight (no way for the cats to dry quickly), the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, and I have yet to play the game I wanted to today. I have spent 6+ hours exploring content on youtube regarding chakras, awakening, and meditations. I arrived at your videos about the chakras and WOW. Thank you so much for posting this video in particular. I am so powerful, that I was allowed to believe my 2nd chakra was blocked this entire time. The entire time it has been flowing wonderfully, all I needed was a shift in perspective. I create spreadsheets and solutions to unique / niche problems at work. I create beautiful conversations on a daily basis, and amazing playlists on a monthly basis. I create a safe environment for my son, I create amazingly tasting meals in the kitchen weekly. This entire time I have been creating and not acknowledging myself because of the misconception, the outdated belief that in order to open my 2nd chakra, I need to be creating ART. This video really struck a chord with me. I can see where I've allowed myself to stop being creative because of my own depression. Yes, I've had my share of monsters stamp on my creativity, but I hear what you are saying about never letting anyone do that! I truly believe that we need to be creative in order to be fully alive and to access that Higher Part of ourselves. This seems to me to be our purpose! Thank you, Sonia! When I was in 2nd grade I wasn’t allowed to sing in the choir because my voice didn’t match the other kids. I had to play the glockenspiel instead. It took me until the age of 58 to take voice lessons and which I love.

My intuition has been telling me to make stuff. Now i know why. I need to get back on the bike. I watched this again, and do you know how creative I have to be to make such drama? Sonia I'd suggest taking a cooking class, it would be fun. I might do the same. I think this is why I like kids, no drama, they create and have fun, then just trash their work. We attach emotion to our work and can't let it go.

I can remember all of the reasons to get up and go, but I have very little enthusiasm for any of it. Even the spiritual vibrancy that has been the corner stone of my very breath seems to have gone underground. Maybe this is akin to a long show Shamanic death. I had a similar experience with the principle of my school, Sr Marlene Jude who would pick up at me for anything amiss in the crowd which led me to stay numb and dumb all the time. Also, you probably wouldn’t remember me, but I met you many years ago (2009 I think) in London, at the Mind Body Soul exhibition, where you were doing a class/demonstration which I attended. And I ADORED YOUR ENERGY AND THE COLLECTIVE IN THAT GROUP!! You played ‘GOOD VIBRATIONS’ song (pretty sure that was the one?) to raise the vibration, and I felt the LOVE in that room, the presence of God, or Higher power, and your SHINNING BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT SONIA!!! So I wanted to write this (I rarely ever comment on YT as I assume people are too busy to read but I do hope this msg finds you, but trust my guides (As you have taught so passionately and beautifully !) and my Vibes !!- That even if just me sharing my experience with you here someone else might read it and it may help them book a class, or perhaps I’ll say something which someone else needed to hear today…) then whatever the purpose, I’m forever grateful to you for your continued work and passion. So Sonia, when I met you in London, you did a book signing which I stayed for, and I was heavily pregnant at that time with my daughter, You lovingly signed my book then placed your hand on my tummy and asked if I knew what I was having. I said I thought a boy, then you smiled that magnetic smile of yours, and said that I ‘might be in for a surprise’ and you went on, with loving kindness in your eyes and heart which was palpable, to say that ‘THIS CHILD OF YOURS WILL BE VERY SPECIAL’ I had a sense at the time I knew what you meant because spirit had kept giving me the word ‘(LIMB) and my guides and loved ones were around me 24/7 making themselves even more known to me than usual (and YES!! YOU WERE OF COURSE CORRECT - IT WAS A GIRL!) So when I later went on to give birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl who I named ‘Vienna’ - it came as no real surprise to me that she had been born missing the lower part of her right arm. Which is why spirit were showing their support during pregnancy more than ever, and why I wasn’t too surprised at all. Because in fact, I had known all along…. Fast forward to now, my daughter I Named Vienna, simply because it ‘dropped’ into my head one day during my pregnancy, (of course I know the difference between my thoughts and inspiration from spirit!! So I know it was my guides!!) Anyway, I didn’t know it at the time I named her Vienna, but during my pregnancy, on a very human level, I kept worrying if she would have ‘quality of life’ because I feared (try though I did not to manifest that in) that she might be somehow mentally handicapped. Which she was not - totally healthy and normal, just with a added dash of ‘Special’ because of her arm. So Sonia, the reason I wanted to share my story with you was because later when she was around 2yrs old, a man came to install sky, whilst he was there he asked me why I had named my children the names that I had. So I explained and he went on to say that in his culture, they believed that what you name a child is who you will prophesies them to be. Later that day I looked up Vienna as a name, but only found out about the place named Vienna. And guess what?? Vienna is known for its ‘Quality of Life’!!!! I was awash with laughter, Joy ,Love and Gratitude to my hard working spirit guides. And to this day, smile every time I think of you, and the sequence of events which followed. You are a beloved shinning star 💫 Sonia, and nobody could ever dull your sparkle. 🎆🎇💫🌠✨✨✨ So finally, it is with a full heart I send to you my love and thanks Sonia, and to anyone reading this. When I was 8, I auditioned for my school choir and was not taken on, but at the exact same time I got into the church choir, which was by far the better one. I always (until recently) sang in the car. When driving with my son, when he was little, we sang nursery rhymes and then the times tables. We called the car a singing car and nobody was allowed to complain about how anyone was singing. We screeched out Handle's Messiah and Zadok the Priest along with a CD shrieking with laughter! Must start doing it again if the dog can stand it.

Lovely soul, I have been reading most of your books, and it got me out of the dark vortex I was not only stuck in, but I was heading towards its bottom..Your mum and I, come from the same country and just like you, I was an airhostess too for a short time, and didn't enjoy it ..I have so much admiration and gratitude to you and the lessons you taught me through your books, but most of all for helping me believe in myself and having the courage to publish my first children's book , in spite of the fact that English is not my mother tongue.
