I have this exact laptop. It does support NVME M.2 drives; however, only 2 PCIe lanes have been allocated for NVME compared to the normal 4 lanes. Save your money and go with a SATA M.2 drive. Dell has been saying for sometime they're going to release a BIOS update to support 4 lanes, but that has yet to be seen and doesn't seem like it will. There is no noticeable difference between a SATA M.2 and an NVME M.2 in regards to this laptop. I currently have a Samsung NVME in mine simply because it came out of my desktop, which died, and has a larger capacity than the SATA drive I have.

I have the Dell Inspiron 15 5570 2018 version with 42Wh Battery WDX0R I want to know if there are any batteries with bigger capacity like 52wH or even 72wH that are compatible with my laptop as the one that came with the laptop barely lasted 2 to 3 hours when I bought the laptop. Thank you.

did you add the cover or heat sheild for for your m.2 ssd drive ,, my dell inspiron 5570 does not have heat sheild,, mine came with a horrable laptop screen it was a touch screen ,, i had a old dell 5559 the touch screen was good so i swapped it out put in my dell 5570 ,, its such a great laptop screen i love my laptop now

Hola Jorge! Pues en este caso lo que hice fue añadir un SSD en la zona del 2.5" ya que en este modelo no viene ninguno y ademas enseñe el disco M.2 que viene pequeñito. En este modelo puedes tener dos discos; uno de 2.5 y otro de tipo M.2 No te olvides de suscribirte a mi canal. Saludos!

Yo tengo la misma, el modelo de 8gb. Una consulta, si a esta le agrego otra DDR4 de 8gb, el sistema reconocera los 16gb en total? Por otra parte, tambien queria cambiarle el HDD por un SSD, sabras que modelo d SATA usa? si es que es SATA 3 o otro? Saludos!!

Keep in mind the NVME M.2 drive only runs on 2 PCIe lanes instead of the normal 4. You're not getting the performance you're paying for with an NVME drive. I suggest saving a bit of money and get a SATA M.2 drive instead. Dell has been saying for awhile that they're going to release a BIOS update to allow 4 PCIE lanes, but that hasn't happened.

Hello, I upgraded mine to 8GB and put a 1TB SSD in as the C Drive and kept the original drive as a D drive, what a difference. Lightning-fast. Runs like an i7.or faster.

The C Drive is a Western Digital blue from AmazonM.2 £100, I used free software, Macrium reflect cloning software to copy the original drive to the new SSD.

I have one 5570 and am wondering , which ssd is best m.2 or nvme or stuff , I have a moderate budget I found a samsung 250gb m.2 ssd for 90 US dollars, I'm extremely confused , have no idea about anything

Roshan Poudel Hi!! You need to buy a M.2 Pcie/Nvme 2280. There are two type of M.2 : M.2 Sata and M.2 Pcie /Nvme. Is very important to buy a Pcie/Nvme because is compatible with your notebook. Don’t forget to suscribe to my channel please 🙏🏻 Regards!

Did u end up upgrading? What did u go with? I just bought a Samsung EVOplus NVMe M.2 SSD 500GB. Idk if it’s compatible but ima find out. Idk how to add it to the software or how my computer is going to recognize it. I’ll see wassup as I go. I’ll keep you updated.

@@SMDSpain Una dudas más crack, respecto a el scanner que proporciona Crucial, me arroja estos datos: Slots: 2 (2 banks of 1) Maximum Memory: 16GB *Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory. Standard Memory: 8GB removable Pero no entiendo cuando se lee 2 Banks of 1, habla de la cantidad de puertos m.2 como tal se poseen son 2 y solo se esta ocupando uno, o lo opuesto, ya que si me interesa ampliar al almacenamiento base (128).

Bryan Sánchez 2 Bank of 1 significa que tienes 2 slot de memoria y que se pueden utilizar los dos. Algunos notebook tienen dos bank de memoria pero solo se puede utilizar uno porque el otro está soldado a la placa. Si lo que quieres es ampliar de almacenamiento este portátil viene con 1 slot para M.2 y otro para SATA de 2.5

Hi! i speak spanish, srry for my english. I think to buy this notebook without ssd and only with 4 gb of ram, because in my country this spend about 900 dollars. and then tune it and put 2 ram of 16 gb = 32 2400Mhz. and a ssd of 480 gb. (buying this things, i spende about 300 dollars in amazon) and spend 1200/1300 max. while that if i buy this machine whit his feautures, i will spend about 2000 dollars. Do you think it could work in tandem with a machine with these factory features? is sure make this? thnks u!

Por Qué tenía visto marcas como samsung pro 970 en cuanto el ssd m.2 (codigo de amazon B07C8Y31G2 )y en cuanto a la ram dos ddr4 de 2666 mhz marca corsair (código de amazon B01BGZEVHU) agradezco si puedes decirme si son compatibles y si voy a aprovechar su rendimiento, seguramente no todo, por lo que leí, porque la maquina no es de ultima generación, pero seguramente sea un buen rendimiento, agradezco tu respuesta!

maybe you are forget to change the format of storage, example : MBR or GPT. HDD and SSD must be in the same format, so i can work it out when you change boot from SSD. it happend d same with me...the solution, use ssd enclosure and format from other laptop and make sur this time same as hdd format base system. hope it help you

Thank you, i just bought the m.2 nvme samsung evo 970 250g on my laptop. The technician installed the ssd and has its own os. I was wondering to put the application on my old hdd to the new ssd and make the ssd my main os. But when the technician gave the laptop to me,and opened it. I saw 2 os on my laptop. I was thinking to have only 1 os using the ssd and the old hdd for back up files. I asked the technician about that and told me that cloning the application from my old hdd to my new ssd is not possible, because the hdd is 1tb and the ssd is only 250gb. My hdd has 498 used space, I told them that I will take all the files from my hdd and put it in an external storage so the only one's left are the applications which would fit the 250gb capacity of the ssd. They told me that it is still not possible. All I want is to clone the application from my hdd to my new ssd. Would it be possible? Or they are right?

Hello! Hello! It's possible. You must start the notebook with the 1tb disk. You have to delete photos, videos, documents until you have a maximum of 250gb. When you have reached 250gb you must install Acronis (It is not free and you will have to find an activator) Acronis is very easy to use. You have to clone from 1tb disk to 250gb disk. Acronis does all the work.
