My intention is not to slam this video but to share a few words of caution for the inexperienced user. Great job on the tutorial by the way! 1st: You have DIMM slot A and DIMM slot B. If running only one stick of RAM you need to put that in DIMM slot A, not B. However this motherboard does support either configuration for some reason. 2nd: it's not a good idea to mix your ram. It's a best practice to use the same brand, same capacity (gigs) and the same MHz (Megahertz) when using more than one stick. I believe the MHz is the most important part. If you are going to run different capacity sticks, the larger stick needs to be installed into DIMM slot A, not B. 3rd: Never, ever, ever! Touch the gold pins on your RAM. RAM should only be handled by its 3 less sensitive edges. RAM is the most sensitive component in your computer and is very susceptible to ESD (Elctro Static Discharge). This will render your RAM useless if you shock the gold pins or the chips / circuitry with static electricity that could be built up in your body from a multitude of different reasons. Reasons ranging from the ammount of humidity in the air to the kind of socks on your feet and / or the carpet you just walked across. 4th: The correct procedure to follow before even touching the RAM is as follows. Step one, discharge the static in your body with the use of a grounding strap. If you don't have a grounding strap you can discharge this static by simply touching anything that is connected to an earth ground and is close to your workstation. Your metal microwave, metal refrigerator, metal oven. Be sure you don't have to walk very far to get back to your workstation as this is how this static can build up. Don't drag your socks across the carpet or scratch on your cat while going from point A to point B LOL. Low humidity will help you build up an ESD much faster than a comfortable level of humidity. Best practice, invest in a grounding strap from Amazon. Step 2, remove the battery, make sure it's been unplugged from the computer. Step 3, hold down the power button for 10 seconds, this will cause any electricity still in the computer to be depleted. Step 4, you are ready to touch the internal components of the computer. Follow these rules and you won't have to double the cost of the investment you just made.
