Hello Adam, it is needed to purge or change the brake fluid after change the steel brake lines or can I simply change them like you? Thanks in advance.

I actually did end up purging them in another video. I guess if you're careful, it's not necessary but if you have the time & equipment, it's probably a good idea. I'm not a mechanic so might be a good question for the ShopDAP guys. give them a call, super helpful - www.shopdap.com

Have you noticed the change only with the hoses? In what aspect do you feel that it improves? What is your real experience with them, I await your clarification, greetings.

Not required but they will last longer than the rubber pieces. That's why I did it.

what size bajo bolts did you use for the front calipers ?

Did the braided lines make much of a difference to the pedal feel?

Not really but over time, they will hold up much better than rubber.

Did you have to go into VCDS to bleed the ABS module?

I did. But you need VCDS to release the rear electronic e-Brake as well on the Golf R. GTI, not needed but the R's e-brake must be released in VCDS.

Adam Chandler Ok so with a manual e-brake I just replace lines, bleed brakes and done?

I'd post to VWVortex GTI forum. I think most people bleed brakes without VCDS but best to ask first. I think you're okay to just bleed brakes the normal way. The order of brake bleeding is odd though. It's not a standard order. "drivers front, pass front, drivers rear, pass rear.. "

You bleed brakes farthest away from the booster 🙄 so if it's on the driver side of engine bay you start in rear passenger rear driver front passenger front driver.
