How to Use a Bissell

Basic Tutorial on how to use a Bissell Rug Shampooer.
Update: I forgot to mention to make sure that the Shampoo Container on the rear of the machine must ALWAYS have fluid in it in order for the (pictured) Shampooer to work. The Bissell wont spray the carpet unless there is solution in the container; be it shampoo/water mixture, or just water.

i've owned mine for 13 years.. used it 3-4 times.. but never knew that i could do a spray run with setting on 'tools' first.. i always had to go over carpet two times using so much shampoo because the shampoo was not left long enough to do its work during the suction round.. your video makes so much more sense... thank you... I'll go try it now... will let you know how it went... 😁

Thanks so much for putting that update in the notes. I just got one of these from a friend, with no manual and no Shampoo Container. Now I know why I can't get it to work! lol You saved me hours of frustration trying to figure that out. ^_^

Thank you! I'm going to save up and try and get one of these before Christmas. At the moment, I use the Zorb dry carpet shampoo which comes in a smallish bag. It's great stuff, but I only use it in the living room. I need a Bissell to tackle the numerous upstairs carpets and the large one in the hall :)

so basically when you press the trigger both the formula and the water in the pouch mix automatically

This is great. Do I need to use "anti foam"? Does it make any difference?

No need. only if suction is affected by foam which usually never happens with these domestic shampooers.
