How To Use A Mig Welder The Right Way
#howto #welding #diy
We get a RILAND All In One Welder and find out that reading the directions is the only way to use this Mig Welder the proper way. Riland turns out to be a good welder purchased from Amazon but it takes some time to figure it all out..
www.swrnc.com or 972-420-1293
RILAND MIG Welder, 200Amp 6 in 1 Gas MIG/Gasless Flux Core MIG/Stick/Lift TIG/Spot Welding/Spool Gun 110V/200V Aluminum Multi Process Welding Machine with LED Digital Display, Burn Back Adjustment
RILAND WELDERS:
www.amazon.com/RILAND-MIG-Gas...
POWERFUL 6-IN-1 MIG WELDER: Including Gas, Gasless Flux Core MIG(FCAW), Stick/MMA, Spot welding, Lift TIG, spool gun connector optional, a total of 6 welding functions (tig gun and spool gun not included). Suitable for all kinds of welding requirements
INTELLIGENT SYNERGIC CONTROL: Thanks to RICHIP, MIG200T can realize the real hot start, arc force, anti-stick, the lowest spatter, automatic identification of wire diameter & gas & welding function, super stability of wire feeding under a small current
BUILT-IN USEFUL FUNCTIONGS: It features very special functions such as adaptive control, and burn-back adjustment, which can real-time monitoring of current, voltage & temperature, to improve the welding quality. And 2T/4T trigger modes for spot welding
MMA & LIFT TIG: In stick mode, it can apply to 1/16~1/8" electrodes (E6013 & E7018), and is perfect for carbon steel plates over 1.5mm. In lift tig mode, this small welder is able to weld carbon steel, and 1-4 mm stainless steel plate
GAS/GASLESS MIG: In MIG mode, this welding machine can be adapted to .030”/.040” carbon steel wire, and in FLUX mode, it applies to .030”/.040” flux cored wire. Carbon steel plate over 1.5mm can be welded in both modes

Thank you for sharing an honest review of this welder. I am very concerned about the aluminum panels on collision projects that can be over 11 years old. Tools, sanders, any steel dust could contaminates the repair. Turning almost all into parts changers. If PDR can be mastered and your great battery powered dent puller can work. The temp is maxed at 180 degrees. Some practice on panels is best. It scares me as steel dust will penetrate the pores of the aluminum from tools, old strip of handy sandpaper close by and what's in the air! If we squeeze 2 MPG by using a few aluminum panels is not worth it, but CAFE numbers demand it. It's crazy, -5 dew point, -7 days, -28 windchill all week. Cold, Best of luck Pete. DK, Omaha.

The YESWELDER series of welders give a lot of bang for the buck. Their AC tig machine is awesome on aluminum and 2/3 the cost of Miller or Lincoln.

I recently picked up a Lincoln 90i Mig. My plan is to do some sheet metal repair on my 69 Charger. Maybe cover up the antenna hole and side markers. I haven’t found many reviews on it but I hope it holds up.

You get what you pay for. That's the truth. Miller is the way to go if you ask me. But another good option is a vulcan omnipro 220 from harbor freight it will take your welding to the next level for beginners, but it's on the pricey side being north of a grand. Great review, Pete!

Thanks Pete for your honest review of less expensive tools and if you can get the job done. I was going to recommend the Hobart 140 handler till I looked at the price for one over 650.00 glad I bought it years ago been a great welder but I couldn’t afford it today, keep on testing and finding tools that us common folk can afford.

I think if using 30g wire you would be better off using 230 v, use 110 for the smaller wire

with a high inductance setting, the less frequently your weld will short circuit. If you put it to the highest it should have a wet soft puddle. Hope that helps Pete.

I have the Arccaptain. I have found butt welding metals at 1/8" or over requires the machine to use 220volts. On 110, it has the tendency to blow the breaker using .8 wire or larger. Not enough voltage to get proper penetration.110V is good on 20-16 gauge sheet metal. The Arcapatin does allow to adjust voltage and amperage separately. I love the unit..

You can make a sheet with the setting for the various thicknesses of metal you normally weld. Inductance makes the bead round up or lay out flat.

I only TIG anymore but that actually looks like a incredible value and certainly has me curious, Not sure it is fair to compare it to Miller or Lincoln but why would you at that price, it is a different class machine…. Thanks Pete for the review.
