Review of CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner. I show you how to use it and test it on a turbo that I have off of a car to show that it works. My car feels like it's running smoother after applying this product. THIS CAN BE USED on BOTH standard and direct injection engines.

Used it on my Hyundai GDI engine and it works great, using it at 30k miles, and when you watch their official videos they say it will continue to clean for a week, it's been about 4 days and the car has greatly improved. Runs buttery smooth

Perhaps you should have started the turbo cleaning with just wiping off the fins - to show whether it's the wiping or the CRC which is doing the cleaning. Also, Q-tips... Since the turbo's are not installed, maybe carb cleaner or even WD-40 would work just as well.

This can be used to clean the valves on BOTH standard and direct injection engines. My vehicle is a PROP for the purpose of showing how to use the product; it's irrelevant if it's a GDI or turbo or not.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus with a GDI 2.0L engine. I just did this for the first time today with 105,000 miles on it. When it came time to take it for a drive it smoked up my whole neighborhood, and I could hear pieces of carbon making noise in my engine as they came loose and worked their way through. I trust the valves and seats are harder than the carbon and came through ok. Engine ran great afterward. It ran great before too though. It seems to have more acceleration at higher RPM now. We will see how it does over the coming week and see if it improves more. It is nice to have the piece of mind that the valves are clean. What do you consider a GDI engine "not lasting long?" With 105K miles on mine it still runs like new. But it's had all the oil changes, air filters, and I put in a new set of spark plugs. Time to change the belts, inspect the hoses, and change coolant.

1001Hobbies I have a 2017 impala with the v6 it’s GDI it’s my first GDI engine car. I’ve heard and read forums that state, that those engines run with very high pressure making it more likely to go bad. I hope not I like my impala. It’s a dope ride. So I just want to stay on top of its maintenance.

@@unitedwestanddividedwefall3521 - Fuel pressure on a GDI engine is up around 25,000 - 30,000 psi. Let it be said, your injectors should have no problem staying clean. Also, there are millions and millions of GDI engines out there now. Ford has changed their 3.5L EcoBoost engine so that it has both GDI as well as port injection. They say this helps with fuel economy and something else. In my opinion, it is to address the intake valve getting carboned up because the detergents in the gasoline will keep the valves clean. Yes, a typical GDI engine will get carbon on the intake valves. A lot. Ford officially has no approved method for cleaning them, but people have successfully cleaned their valves both with walnut shells (requires removing intake manifold) and with Sea Foam, as well as this CRC product. I am guessing Ford does not want liability by telling people to clean their valves this way. Just a guess. I did mine. I am not sorry. I am happy with the results. For the record, I graduated from an automotive tech school, did it for a living for a few years, and have worked on cars for 40 years. I also am not accepting any liability. What you do with your engine is up to you. For my engine, this CRC product really seems to fill the bill.

@@robbyalmendrez1750 Should change the oil, so it's best to do it right before an oil change. You don't need to change the filter due to using this product, it gets sprayed in after the filter. So you can just change the filter at the manufacturer recommended interval.

One issue I don't think this engine is a DI engine, therefor the injectors are behind the intake valves as you sprayed this into the engine the they were getting washed with fuel and didn't have enough soak time to work on the valves where as DI engines the intake valves do not get wash down with fuel as the injectors spray straight into the cly.
@aDIYCarGuy
