Thank you, the second option is what I did and I had what I needed in less than a minute lol

Downside is you'll have lumps of hardened mud in your bag for next time.

Yeah but I use the bag the same way until all that’s left is the small rocks at the bottom of the bag. 🤙🏼✌🏼

I’m gonna try this this tomorrow. The other option is just fill a quart container with compound and use that as the one where you do the double dip. I’m gonna try it with Rapid Set One Pass. SOOOO much better than hot mud, I’m never going back. It’s more like a plaster, so it’s harder to sand, but it’s way easier to apply, and you don’t get streaks when there’s junk in there

Don't the hardened balls get mixed into later mud applications and cause problems?

Will get back to you! I'm excited to try this out

With that music I have to wonder just how many bodies you got and how many oil drums you'll need.

Board is definitely easier than a pan….. I mix 5 min on a board and it works great for small patches and multiple coats

Won't the moisture mess with the rest of the compound?

GREAT STUFF HERE! Holy fuck this man is brilliant. I’m using his technique right now and it works mint. I mix hot mud a lot at work, seems like almost everyday, for repairs before I paint, and this is works and is super helpful and and not easy to find. I’ve been doing this for years and great tips are hard to come by. THANK YOU very much sharing Brother. Absolutely brilliant!

Drywall Shorty said not to get your bag wet. It ruins your compound.

I mix it in my hands and spit water into them for the most efficient mixing for small batches

How long does it stay wet or moldable? I want to use this for a project & was shocked at how quickly plaster of paris dried. 😂
@TheArizonaPainter Жыл бұрын
This one is good for 20 min, but there is also 45min and 90min available

Just get a pan and mix it

This all a waste of time I mix a good amount In a Small mini bucket with a paddle bit and drill then pour it in my metal pan and get to mudding your just wasting time in my opinion
@alvinromo Жыл бұрын
No, no, no. You use a mud pan, silly.
@TheArizonaPainter Жыл бұрын
Why waist all that compound in a pan for some minor cracks, you have to think outside the box buddy, that’s how you grow! But to each their own, keep doing it your way.
