yeah if you're playing pig or something there is no conceivable way to win with 12 hooks. you could try giga tunneling but even then you'd probably only get 2 kills.

Even with full slowdown builds Scott? e.g. Surge, Pain Resonance/Grim Embrace, Dead Man's Switch, No Way Out and iri/strongest addons? Pig for example, Iri tape and Rules 2 is such a mean addon combo, especially when paired with RPD/Midwich offering

keep it mind i went for 12 hooks here which is extremely unneccessary, especially against a good team. on a weaker killer you could play a lot more ruthlessly and get decent results but yeah, you're not winning this with a bottom tier killer

@@ScottJund also you were using just one gen perk. Let's not pretend the current meta consists of 3 gen perks most of the time. That alone gives more wiggle room for the weaker killers

Im a p100 billy main and you can try to learn with or without addons it make no difference expect for the lo pro addon ( please dont use it because you dont learn to curve around pallets with this addons) .

to get the best feeling for a killer go for some time without any addons. its easier to get the feeling for curve timing etc. i would never start learning anything with addons

No perks m2 only if you want to practice curves. If you specifically want to practice overdrive use speed limiter. It increases overdrive gain and you have to hit the survivor an extra time so extra curves

Exactly this. Predictability is an underated yet substantial weakness. Mixing up unpredictable perks and builds, as well as playstyles, can really mess up opponents. As a randomizer player, a fair bit of the successes I have are down to getting value out of unusual perks or playstyles.

Always drives me insane that some people, like Scott, give people advice and say stupid shit like "tunneling isn't needed", but somehow forget the insane amount of hours that they have in the game compared to 99% of the population.

that's less a comment on DBD's balance and more a comment on how bad those specific killers are.

@@ScottJund I agree they need to be buffed to keep up with the better killers so we can get some actual killer variety in matches. I would not say the game is killer sided it is just Nurse and Blight seem to be the devs favorites and refuse to touch them other than giving them some minor slap on the wrist nerf that don't actually do anything to them. But Freddy can put a puddle on the floor to op, Pig can see boxes lol to op.

its usually just educated guessing with process of elimination. if im chasing someone i usually look around me and can see ~ 2 gens. If there is no one on either, i can assume the other gens have a much higher likelihood of being occupied. try looking around outside your chase while youre still inside it. it helps a lot

It wouldn't look the same but the same _principle_ would apply. The game would be harder, obviously, but the idea of knowing where things are happening and where your effort is best spent is, if anything, _more_ important on those killers than on a killer like Billy that can correct for misplays easier by zooming to where you're meant to be. As an aside, Wraith has really good map traversal. It's not as good as like, Billy or Blight, but Wraith's pretty speedy, especially with Windstorm.

Wraith could actually do this if he tunneled and played ruthlessly. Slinger can have very quick chases even in comp. Doctor...yeah doctor probably gonna get rolled.

Fair in general, tho Wraith is a bad example as he is very much a killer that really does well with good macro knowledge and decision making, kind of what I like am him the most.

You had like a 12 hook game Scott. Obviously you played well but you don't get 12 hooks unless the survivors fuck up A LOT.

​@@ScottJund First mistake was in the early game hearing Billy saw and staying in a dead zone. By around 1:00 they should know now that you have BBQ and all future positioning mistakes after hooks are a skill issue. 2:39 should have been a down, though I agree with their decision to hold w away from shack because it would be a better death position and the window was a 50/50 unless you are good with audio checkspots. At 3:01 you could have seen if the medkit in her hand disappeared from that distance because she pre vaulted. At 3:49 I don't think I have to explain lmao. At 4:05, they should know you have BBQ but they still healed under the hook. Nancy then proceeded to get 2 tapped by M1s in like 10 seconds. 5:20 was blatant greed. At 6:05 you literally have 3 survivors all together against a billy, which is obviously shitty macro on their part. 6:23 is shit positioning, because she already knew her teammate dropped that pallet and the window is not safe against billy. She could have used the time from Sheva's stun and Nea's slug to get away. 6:53 is another silly greed. 7:30 is more bad macro from them, because she made it very clear she intended to move in for save/gen with that loud noise notification and just ran in a straight line like a bot. 8:08 only happened because Ada chose the least safe gen to repair on the map. I don't think this was a great game to display macro skill as killer. It wasn't like you had any crazy reads, but more like they threw every macro play horribly after the first 2 hooks lol. At the end you left the injured and deep wound Nea at shack with no pallets to defend a gen with like 20% progress as if it were in any danger of popping assuming you down the Nea in a reasonable time. This prolonged the game significantly, because Nancy then went on a chase in the only area of the map left with resources left, which you zoned her to. As a result, Nea was able to get on that gen and almost pop it. Also, this is not to shit on your skill as a killer or anything. You're definitely better than me at both macro and micro by leaps and bounds.

@@ScottJund They spawned at the truck and ran up the map towards you in a dead zone. If they went the opposite direction they would have had the filler at right-mid or the one at 4. Even the truck itself is better than the middle of nowhere against Billy. It was a lethal persuer down and they didn't know you were Billy, so I can give them the benefit of the doubt. Still, it was avoidable.

is that common knowledge? Legit curious because I was gonna comment about the no gg till I saw this, you'd think Scott would have taken that into account, or better yet, if you and your squad know that killer loads out of the match slower than survivors, maybe you should have waited around a few seconds before sending gg into the void...

@@shutitfukface im also pretty sure its because when match is over spectating survivors go straight to the perk screen while the last survivor to die/escape and the killer have to wait for the running after the match then the rundown, only thinking about it now

That's fair to not like it, I respect that, however, it literally takes up 4% of the screen space, so if you cannot manage to watch the video when something that small, off in the corner, is there, I feel like that's more so a you problem. Also, why people add them: various reason, a collection of running joke/memes, they function sort of like a virtual desk space; why do people put figures and stuff on their desk?
