The guns are fine. It's the armor that's lackluster for a "heavy" tank

its biggest advantage is the secondary - same for the maus you can pretty often fool people into thinking you screwed up your shot, they rush you and get welcomed by your main gun all ready to wreck them

I beg to differ about the secondary gun, it can (and it will in my experience) kill if you aim for trap shots. One battle my main gun got disabled by T-34 so I was forced to use my secondary gun to confuse him and to hide the fact that I can't use my main gun. To my luck I shot at his curvature on the lower part of the turret penetrating hull's roof, taking out his driver first. The armour and my positioning helped me to absorb most of his shots. On the long run it took me more shots but in the end I killed him with the secondary gun. The same gun can also have some luck on side shots, especially if is panzer 3/4

Fun fact: Thw M6a1's ammo is stored between the tracks where the 25mm sideskirts are...sooo just shoot the tracks head on and watch the fireworks

1:58 This can be fix by binding the two guns to separate mouse buttons or other keys. This is also useful on the Maus (RIP) and even more so with the Lee/Grant as both guns can independently aim.

depends on the engagement, yes? shoot the second then hit them with the main if you wish to foll them out of cover, but if their a fast mover in the open use the secondary for track, immobilize, then get the good shot

I really like the vehicles with multiple turrets or cannons. Especially in ships they you can take control of everything.

You said since your secondary weapon impacts second, it usually doesn't work effectively. Not sure if you knew, but you can rebind the secondary weapon so they are on seperate things to shoot 37/76

secondary can also be used as ranging shot at long ranges although the main gun cant pen a panther head on beyond 500m

The one time the 37 saved me was when I shot a tiger E's lower hull behind the tracks and sniped only the gunner while the 76 reloaded cause he drove out sideways in front of me

The armour coupled with the decent speed it's more of a medium tank. Also it's so effing good in the horde mode.

I love m6a1. My favorite thing to do is let my turret peek out a little from a sniping position and to go on an air raid. As long as you depress your turret the angle will help deflect all the shots fired from 3500m for free adamant award SL.

The front of this thing is volumetric hell right now. Every time i'm shooting at it, my round catches on some weird angle and non-pens.

I would like to see a video in the only premium AAA vehicle the ZUT- 37. It has the slowest turret of all AA guns and is even slower than heavy tanks.

You know, sometimes the armor is actually able to stand up to punishment. The first time I played this tank, I went to a point alone, but half the enemy team rushed it after I capped it. I bounced probably 14 shells and around 6 penetrated but not enough to kill the tank somehow. I killed 5 or 6 of them before my main gun breach got hit, and even then the secondary kept firing till someone finally got me through the sides.

Easy: 1) Shoot big gun to punch big hole in armour. 2) Shoot small gun into said hole you made for garanteed kill.

I was thinking the secondry gun could be useful against lighter vehicles (eg. AA or TD), by using HE rounds, then you said it only has access to solid AP, so that idea was half scrapped, but it would still be useful for them.

Only problem about this tank that I've noticed is that the armor between the tracks is insanely weak... which if you shoot directly in front of the track or near the front it can ammorack this tank.

Man that tank is great! I will use it in a lineup with the M4A1 (76) and . . . the M4A1 (76) . . . and . . . ehm, oh yeah! I can just uptier it by useing it with the Jumbo or the M4A2 (76) (which is a worse tank than the M4A1 (76) by the way).

i usually play this thing like a Tiger 1: i stay at range and play with the 76mm gun, the 37mm it's my bait. i make the enemy think i can't pen them, so they won't angle the armor. then it's juts a matter of aim. and you won't belive how many people falls victim to this feeling of being protected when i bounce the 37mm. ps.: please do the M4a3 (76)w HVSS, attempt number 5

I use also 37mm gun as finisher when the main gun didn't do enought damages on a target that this gun can pen

You forgot to mention the neutral steering and that the transmission is at the rear and therefor cannot be used as extra armor.

In my honnest opinion, this is without a doubt the best tank in the game. Yesterday I scored 18 kills with it in a game. Absolute momster. And also if u use the armor correctly it is capable of bouncing even up br 5.3.

How do you fire just one cannon instead of both? When I used the Lee it would always fire both.

when i play m6 i usualy only use 76 untill i miss a tank (probably a light tank) and then i use the smaller gun.

Example of 37mm being useful (this did happen to me): say your main gun's barrel is out. There is a hetzer in front of you. Said hetzer turns his side to deal with a friendly, but doesn't know about the 37mm. See, the 37mm has enough pen to go through its side. Use said 37mm to kill the hetzer.

What can't it pen? Panzer IVs die, most mediums and lights can be penned from the side. The secondary can be used to harass heavier tanks, try and disable their guns or track them. If nothing else, it gives you another shell to lob at someone to keep them stressed out during reloads of your primary.

I load the shrapnel shell that explodes on impact in my little gun incase I miss or just wound a light vehicle, I can finish it off pretty easy with that. Is that a bad idea?

how do i use the secondary?

I wasn't fond of it, but I think I was using it incorrectly. I kept taking it into cities where heavy tanks are at a disadvantage to faster more nimble vehicles. I may give it a try again later, once I build up my SL pool. But I will not expect it's armor to stop anything. It's like a M4 that had too many hamburgers.
