If you want to make sure that you eliminate that nest permanently forever add a little white vinegar after a few days it creates carbon dioxide which is heavier than air flows down to the bottom and fills the nests in and suffocates everything by the way that should really Raven uproar in the tree-hugger

What about if they're in your house ? I bought the traps , and the gel bait stuff that looks almost like a fat hypodermic plunger without the needle ... I still plan to use diatomaceous earth and other people are saying mix equal parts borax and sugar with some water and a waffle or sweet type of bread so that they can take that back to the Colony for the others to eat so they can die also . The Gel Bait stuff is what the professionals use what you can buy it in places like Home Depot . Should you get infested with water called little fire ants you will not believe what a nightmare because usually the most colonies only have one queen but with little fire ants they can have as many as 70 and you won't believe how fast they multiply and how quickly that that army of ants can move and invade .

the ants will fart not explode if they ingest small amounts of it (path of least resistance although ant farts are very quiet)

I was looking up ways to kill ants that were getting into the house. I poured salt on them. I poured baking soda on them. Nothing. It just made on ant super crazy and he started running around, and the other hand just kept sniffing around for food. Perhaps mixing it with sugar is the better idea.

Cool vid! Helpful tip: I think maybe you should say "non-toxic" and not "naturally occurring" if you cover these two items again. Neither white sugar (refined and bleached) or Baking Soda (chemical compound of sodium carbonate, CO2, & water) are naturally occurring, which usually denotes that the substance can be found in nature without artificial aid. Those two things typically aren't.

@@weekendhomeprojects Try putting a line of cinnamon on the threshold of your door, and any loose ground floor windows - they wont cross it, and then they'll mark the scent trail as a dead end, so they wont keep trying. We refresh every few years - no ants in the home, and they stay out in the yard where they should be, working the soil.
