Yeah, I am completely sold on the fact this thing can ACTUALLY film at night in city streets, and is much more discreet than putting a GoPro on a Gimbal... DJI is winning this one!

Regarding your situation, we are sorry to inform you the main camere battery cannot buy singlely, we recommend you to buy the battery handle to help yo solve this issue. This could also help you solve the battery life issue." So you trow away the Pocket 3 in 2 years maximum when battery no longer charges.

@@garysyoutube the extended battery is smaller, not sure. 950mAh battery increases by 62%. Main battery is 1300mAh !! Yes probably you can, but not ideal solutions.

Ok i subscribed, you convinced me 😅 i just got my Pocket 3 delivered and just put it to charge mine was at 43% battery out of the box. I am also taking your advice on the extended warranty through DJI since I've never had anything with a Gimbal, you literally opened my eyes to the possibility of having issues with the mechanism of the gimbal so i too want to have peace of mind. Thank you so much for your advice though i technically bought this my self, it was my wife who gave me the idea if getting one for my 40th B day. She watches your videos with me. 😅

I was going to suggest mentioning the ability to vary exposure on the fly - but you did that, of course. I'll simply add that it resets when you stop recording, which makes sense. Nice set of tips, thanks.

Super helpful tutorial! I actually dislike the 3 tap to rotate the camera around, given that other tap counts enable different functions. I find that you can under or over tap because the device doesn't respond as well after you've used it for, say, a few months. This was a major issue in my user experience with the Pocket 2. Glad that there is the option on the screen with the Pocket 3, though!

I haven’t seen a review yet that shows you that when you put the zoom function onto the joystick - you can then use the screen to pan up and down - and it’s proportional! Just like on the pocket and pocket 2.

Great tutorial. Thank you! Is there a way to ensure the Pocket 3 lens doesn't turn outward when in the hard shell carrying case? Most times when I take it out of my bag, I find the lens has moved from its initial stowaway position (facing inward) to facing out, and I'm so worried one of these days the lens will get scratched.

I tried a lot i put my camera infront and the focus is making my clips worthless. Do in video mode and its focus pumping. When i did follow mode its not good either. What setting is the best most clips i just talk but have my hands up sometimes when i talk or show something

QUESTION: I see in other videos the Active Tracker really sucks… It mostly prioritizes the face but not good with anything else. Can you confirm that? I do Hyperlapses and would be nice if this camera can track objects etc.

It’s not bad depending on the size of the object. We’re expecting firmware updates for future improvements so I’m hopeful it’ll continue to get better. It has some great hyperlapse features.

It’s easy to use and as long as you’re not super rough with it, you shouldn’t damage the gimbal.

There is important info about this on the DJI forum. A number of people experienced overheating (in max video modes and the app active) when slow memory cards were used.

You can do 4K120 fps slow mo in horizontal. The 3K restriction is when shooting vertical.

Hey I have a off topic question as I wrote in other avenues to you. My media mod when mounted shows volume At max and doesn’t record sound. It’s never been damaged or hit it just randomly happened. Its port still works to charge, and the GoPros port still also does charge it seems to work but the media mod is stuck on this mode. Have you ever encountered this??? Anyone

At 8:36 you describe being able to record audio to both the the transmitter and to the Pocket 3 at the same time (like for a backup). So let me make sure I understand you.... it will record the REGULAR pocket 3 audio to the the video file and the TRANSMITTER audio to the transmitter? Cuz this won't work for me. All I get is the Transmitter audio on both. There is no way to unlink the transmitter if it is ON. If you try do to unlink it, it will automatically link back up in 10 seconds or so.

I was using mine today, recording some chores, horizon leveling was on, couldn’t get my shot I wanted, so went to settings but it was grayed out, took me forever to realize I could not access it because I was recording at the time. You can auto pan when in motion Timelapse mode, but I know that’s not quite the same thing.

It's not auto pan but... You can pan remotely through the DJI mimo app. Connect to the app and control the pan from another room.

WILD to me they haven't released the accessories with it. Across the board everything is 2 weeks into November. From screen protectors to the gopro mount. GREAT camera though i'm really enjoying it. I really want the battery extender simply because my hand is too big for it.

@@Gemini_Connect I really think they wanted to push the Creator Edition. But I need 2 mics and have my set up. The camera is FANTASTIC! TOOK IT trick or Treating with my 6 year old and got low light shots I would NEVER have got with my go pro. Just waiting for the Ulanzi mount clip with the foldable gopro feet.

I’ve been using the camera for about a month and a half and haven’t had issues with the screen or overheating. In general I never film longer than 10 minutes at a time (this likely helps with overheating, and 100% helps me with editing later), and I’m careful when flipping the screen. I can see how being too rough with any part of this camera can easily damage it (that’s why you should get insurance for it).

@@Gemini_Connect Thank you for the really helpful videos! I am torn on buying the pocket 3 since I already bought the go 3. Will sure buy the insurance if I ever decides to buy it. There are a lot more moving parts on pocket 3, which means a lot more things that can break.

@@Gemini_Connect There more users in UK/EU have this, seem to do with EU regulations heating. Also a stuck flip screen from user in Philippines. So overheat problem is found by users but only seem in Europe. BTW i not agree with using camera only shorts, a camera must work als long user press the record button (exept empty battery or full SDcard).

Zoom on these compact cameras has always been limited because the camera sensor is so small. I zoom quality already degrades quite a bit and I would use it sparingly.

The only thing I wish people would mention when making these videos is that if you buy the creator combo pack the wireless mic DOES NOT record in stereo. Makes no sense why they give you a mic and not able to record in stereo unless you buy another one. Wish I would have known this. I never would have bought the combo bc of that.

Fair point. However, you can usually only record in stereo when you have 2 wireless mics. After this video was made, the DJI Mic 2 kit came out and that allows you to record in stereo.

The lightweight camera with small footprint, clear and stable video, the nice low light shooting blinded me for some time - but then I realised that as a family vacation shooter this camera is USELESS if it does not offer OPTION of infinite focus. If I cannot get my subject and the surroundings ALL in focus, then that defeats the whole concept of vacation shooting - the bokeh effect (background blurring) is a massive hindrance than of benefit. Maybe if you are showcasing a product or person. Or trying cinematic storytelling - you may find it useful. But for millions of simple vacationers like me - who just desired crisp super stable video while travelling, taking in all of the surroundings - this lack of universal focus (fixed aperture and focal length) is a deal breaker. Lucky I stopped just short of making payment for it.
