In today's video I’m going to be trying out the world of copy trading, and seeing if it’s true that you can Copy a trader, invest your money, and while you’re at work, or on holiday or even while you’re sleeping you can make money from trading.. without any experience.
I’m going to go right from 0, and take you through the process of signing up and depositing and I’ll show you what i personally look for when i’m looking to review a copy a trader and their strategy, and by the end of the video, I’m going to be investing R2,000 of my own money, live and in real time on the XM Copy Trading platform and we’ll be tracking and reviewing the results. So if you’ve been looking for ways to grow your wealth, and potentially generate some passive income by using the experience of others. As an update: Since investing, my profits from the 2 Copy Traders has gone up from 0.8% to 2.21% ($2.2). That's over 8 days. So far so good.

@areebaarooj1108 so you will see your profit/loss in realtime immediately. As the trades happen. Currently my profit has gone up a bit more to 3.01% profit.

I've been copying a trader with another broker for the past 5 months and I've been making an average of 20% return a month, the worst month he had was -0.49% So a few tips from my experience 1. If your account is not adequately funded I'd suggest you mostly follow scalpers, because swing traders tend to hold trades for longer and this could do serious damage to your small account 2. I'm not sure how xm works but most brokers allow you to adjust risk and copy ratio so be sure to adjust them properly in proportion to your account Happy investing 😊

Thanks for this. Do you know if you can copy trade using the demo account to test different members to copy? My demo account is selected but when I press "Copy trading" it does not show any account anymore.

Hi after seen your video I tried to open an account and register it . After 2 days I received a call from lady asking when I'm going to deposit the money . Hi thx for the great videos. Just a question. Once u copy a trade, does it stay active till u sell? Or is there a time frame?

Hey, thanks so much! It will stay active until you sell. So it will only trade when the copy trader trades. So as long as the trader keeps trading, it will keep going and keep trading alongside them. And yes, will only stop when you sell 😊🙌

Once the trade is closed by the trader, it closes on your account as well 😊

Haha, duly noted 😊 This is genuinely something I'm adding to my investing portfolio and wanting to share with people who might want to know more about it 😊. Over 8 days the investment is up 2.2%. So the returns so far are quite good, but obviously we'll have to see how it does over the long term. But if it is sustainable, then I think it could potentially be a high performing investment. Time will tell, but I will keep everyone updated 😊. Always good to know all the options and have all the information possible. If I make or lose money, people have more info on what they want to invest in either way 😊.

Well i think it's like all things, as long as it's in the right percentages or proportions. For example if you used 1% of your portfolio for riskier assets, in the worst case it won't affect a lot. But if it does well of course it could make a good difference. Like I said the returns seem to be quite good in the low risk sections. Currently mine is sitting on 2.2% after 8 days. So I haven't seen the need to try those yet. Perhaps in moderations. But I'm going to try low risk, and maybe over time experiment with some others 😊 Glad you enjoyed!

This might be irrelevant but I want to ask do you think its valuabe to buy physical gold ?. I am curious since gold had been dropping in price

So it's not my forte necessarily. I don't trade commodities too much. And the reason is because gold is technically more speculation than investment. I do know that the price has of course appreciated over the decades and often it's seen as a safe haven. But I'll be honest when I say I haven't done enough research in gold to give a good answer 😂 I think you may make a profit over the long term, but compred to investing in the market I'm not sure 😄

Well it will be proportional to the amount you invested. If I understand your question correctly. So for the amount the trader uses to open, will be proportional to the amount you invested.

Yes you absolutely can. So just like an EE portfolio, it's possible to add in money each month and build your position in either the same or different copy traders. So totally doable 👍

I put in 53 dollars and tried on both but it says there is not enough equity. How much must I have in the account to cover that for just one of them?

So I put in $50 each and it worked perfectly fine 🤔. Are you using the exact ones I used? But try filtering the results like I did by a $50 investment minimum. That should show you all of the options that you can invest $50. Let me know how it goes and perhaps I can help further 😊

What if i dont use " Take Profit " and "Stop loss " ?

So that just means you can make both unlimited profits or unlimited losses 😊. I didn't do a take profit, so it could potentially continue to grow. But a stop loss I like so I don't lose all my money. But if you don't use either, it just means the investment could continue either way to make money or loss money without stopping 😊

Honestly the results so far have been very good. I am currently up 2.6% and I've been invested around 9 days. So if you take that to a daily rate and multiply it for the year, it's very good. Will have to see over a bit longer of a time period. But so far it's been pretty good 🙌

How long can a copy trading take to complete

Indefinitely. It’s completely up to the trader you follow and you have no control over that. If they decide to keep a trade open for a year then your money will be tied up for that long and you cant do anything about it
