Very well demonstrated. You made it easy-to-use. Thank you for sharing. I have one and didn't know how to use it.

I have the same sewing machine and also a Brothers 929 D Serger but I love this cutter, less thread usage. Fast and easy for emergency sewing..

Hi! Thank you for your video, but I never figured out how to use use it. I have 2 sewing machines, one like in this video and the other is a Babylock Jazz II. Do you know if this will work on the Jazz II? Please let me know, and thanks again.

Are you suppose to create a seam before using the side cutter?
@susanwhite5203 жыл бұрын
Hi. I also have a baby lock. What was that extension piece called. I would like to see about getting one so I can have more options with feet.
@SewFabulous33 жыл бұрын
Hi! In the book, it was actually called an extension bar. It’s a small bar with 2 holes. One larger than the other. Thanks for watching my tutorial!

I have the sq9285 so I thought following your video would help. However my stitches are very loose not tight like yours. Should I try adjusting tension?
@SewFabulous32 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can tighten them by changing the stitch length or width. Only change the tension if your using thicker or thinner threads. Normally it stays on #4. Hope this helps!

I have the same machine,the machine will automatically choose it for you when you select you stitch number,then you can widen the stitch. Make sure you're using the correct needle for the fabric type. Hope it helps.

Hardly ever get to see a video using the same SQ9185 sewing machine that I have. I also didn't know I could use a side cutter with it. I'm hoping to get a Brother serger this year. Also have the Brother ST150HDH because a heavy duty sewing machine was more of a priority than a serger. Thanks! Always interested in learning more options and techniques.

Thanks for watching my video! Brother machines are one of my favorites. That’s all I have at my school. The serger is awesome too! If you need help with it doesn’t hesitate to contact me!

Can u tell us whats the name of the adapter to buy? How would we know if we need it?
@SewFabulous32 жыл бұрын
You don’t need it if you purchase the snap on version. But it’s called a shank adapter www.amazon.com/Brother-Sewing-Machine-Shank-Adapter/dp/B002911L2Y

Got the attachment but when I change my machine to overlock stitch will not do it only does a straight stitch ,
@SewFabulous32 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, what type of machine do you have? You should at least be able to use a zig zag stitch.

I got my side cutter foot but it does not cut the fabric. I wonder why the foot install correctly. It is works but just not cut the fabric, please advise.
@SewFabulous33 жыл бұрын
Hi there, did you clip about a 1”opening before you started to sew? Remember to slip the garment edge under the foot and the clip edge to the right of the blade. Let me know if that works.
@SewFabulous33 жыл бұрын
Hi, just checking back! Were you able to get your side cutter to work?
@connieroberts37083 жыл бұрын
Can you use this on quilt as you go projects
@SewFabulous33 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as you are using it to finish the edges. If I’m not mistaken, your seam allowance is 1/4”. So, make your sure your use a short width stitch.
