Christian, you make the most difficult tail light look easy. Excellent job. For those of you that were wondering what Christian said when he muted the sound when the tint had something under it and he ripped it off, it was this: " Gosh darn it ! I have a little something under the tint. Not a problem, I'll just remove it and start over. " OR, something very close to that LOL. Ü My best, Scott

The day you do a BRZ/FRS/86 is gonna be amazing. I just tried doing my 2014 BRZ and it was...rough to say the least 😬I did an okay job for being a KZfaq learner and it being my first time but it’s a beast of a light I think. Either way you’re the best tinter on KZfaq for my money. Thanks bro

I would love to get in to wrapping, i have wrapped some small stuff on my BMW. But the wrap is insanely expensive over here i think, i dont know how much is costs over at your place? But here, a roll Avery Dennison, Gloss Black, 82feet roll, cost 1020$. isnt that very expensive? Avery Dennison Black Chrome, 75feet roll, 3500$... insane

Great video as always. Thanks for the tips to help us out. Also was wondering if you would do a comparison video with vvivid smoke tint vs luxe smoke tint. I have used luxe and have had it tear on me several times and i dont really like the after finish as well. It would be cool to see your opinion on the product as it is an expensive product. When i reached out to luxe about the failures i had they pretty much said their film does not fail ever and they couldn't do nothing for me. Thanks man

Good video thank you! I might be redoing my Kia stinger taillights currently have nite shades spray tint looks good but want to switch to vinyl wrap. have you done these taillights they look kind of difficult. Would you suggest doing in pieces? Any advice?

Great video. I've studied your tail light videos before trying my car. I'm practicing using the same tint on my 2001 Trans Am. The entire tail light is about 24" wide and a double curve so it's pretty challenging. I've done it twice and it's close to perfect. Hopefully third time is a charm.

Do you have any suggestions for a tint that doesn't have the orange peel texture? My car (19 veloster) has what I would call moderately difficult shape, but I really hate the texture.

Not too sure if you read these older comments but I have a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 that the back of the headlight is not flat like that. It has a big recessed area in the middle. Any suggestions or if I still stretch it this exact same way and then Work that recess? Thanks man I sure learned a lot from your videos.👍🏼👊🏼

Good vidéo. I didthe same technic with the same material on my GMC Canyon 2015. The taillights are the same than yours. It looks great at the beginning but after a time the vinyle stretch back by quartet of an inch at the top and bottom. I'd like you to show us the condition of thèse light after 3-4 month. Maybe removing the lights and Wrapping them out of the véhicule should by easier

I should’ve KZfaqd this before rawdogging my last 2 failed attempts 😂. Looks like I need a faster blowing heat gun first and foremost cause this baurer one from harbor break 🙃doesn’t blow as nearly as fast. And I’m guessing full hot is what I need to have it at from the speed your tint went pliable? Wish I was able to send pics of my botch job to see if I could get some more pointers in the hex tint wrapping around my triangle taillights (93 Honda Prelude). 🤦 and this video is the closest I can find with the sharp angles. Anyways thanks for this video, I didn’t think about using the vehicle as a second set of hands 👍

So you should definetly wrap the film around the edge/corner to tuck it in towards the paint? So he holds better and doesn't show the taillight?

Amazing job, have you been able to do the '19 Silverado tails? I ended up just spray tinting them! 2 light coats seemed to be plenty.

The 19 tails are a PITA, I’ve done them twice and fail at the top and middle side low part. Third times a charm. I was thinking of spraying but I wouldn’t pass yearly safety inspection in my state

Done them, you have to stretch around whole light or you will have too much excess film along the top section. @theheadlightguy on IG

I’m located in California. How much wrap will I need to wrap a 2008 335i coupe? I was thinking I buying Avery gloss white 5x50 just in case I make mistakes. What do you think?

Hi I try wrapping my tail lights that came out really awesome but when I park in the Sun the starter raise up like they had to pull back what did I do wrong

You stretched too much to the edge. The film can be stretched across the light, but you can not stretch all the way to the edge of the light. 1/2 inch before the edge of the light lift and heat to allow it to shrink then smooth it out and squeegee. @theheadlightguy on IG I can help you out more message me!

Have you ever tried 2017-2020 f250 platinum tail lights, tried yesterday first time alone then second time with help and failed both times they are really really hard tail lights, I’ve done plenty on other cars and never had trouble, same film vvivid air release

got a gmc canyon that is about as bad maybe worse. Might should have took very very very difficult as maybe this shouldnt be your first taillight to tint. I got it on there in one piece but there was to much tension at the edge and and it peeled back

I did this on a new Nissan Tundra's taillights and they failed badly. Used Vvivid air tint. I have done tinted over 200 lights with a different material without any issues and with Vvivid I've had a lot of jobs come back. Any tips? I enjoy using it but it seems to fail often.

Brian Chastain agreed, my 19 slt tail lights have the extra curve that you’re talking about. The truck in the video is a lower trim package (elevation) so I’m wondering if the Sierras without the multipro tailgate have slightly different tail lights too
