What I needed from this video was the order the wires were in. The ends of the wires and pins had corroded to powder (electrolysis) and when I resolved the problem, replaced the motor there was no clue which wire went where... thanks to this video, my auger now works just as it should.

Same problem, connector corroded. the dont see a pigtail to replace this. Need to buy entire harness for $150? this seems like a common problem. I am thinking of soldering wires direct to motor pins...

Or female pin connectors and then cover with shrink tube directly to motor pins?

Is there a way to replace the cable that plugs into the Auger? Mine was frozen in ice and 2 cables broke from the blue connector? Thanks!

This went smoothly for my until time to remove the motor. It wiggles freely, but the wiring comes from the front of the fridge and the circle plug it comes out of keeps the motor from dropping out. I tried popping it loose with a screwdriver but it appears to be molded and the motor won't clear it.

how can I troubleshoot the auger motor?

You will need to test and see if there is power at the auger motor, with the dispenser pressed and the light switch closed. If so, and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the auger motor. You can test this with a multi-meter. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Went to install motor and it didn't fit onto old drive shaft. Spot for shaft in old motor was bigger than the new one.

Found part number on sears website and ordered from marcone. Part number W10271509. I've got it figured out now. Sears had wrong part number listed I guess. Apparently there is a version of this fridge with a different motor, shaft, and way that the ice bin couples to the shaft. The fridge that i'm working on is the older style with the bigger shaft. The part number that i actually needed is 2252130. Only difference is the size of the hole where the shaft goes in.@@appliancepartspros

Check the wire harness at the bottom of the fridge on the freezer side. Remove cover and look in the wire harness...found broken wire which fed power to motor...terrible design...there should be slack built into harness....
