Bad idea unless you do track, they can easily tackle you or headlock you from behind. It’s better to hit the nose, chin throat or groin a couple times then make a run for it

It would be more benificial if you taught people how to take a punch or an initial fighting stance to ensure you show as small an area for defence. You stood square on to the guy and not side on, hence if he knew what he was doing he would block your punch leaving you wide open to many options of attack!!
