HMT watches are manually wound watches, which means that you have to wind them by turning the crown on the side of the watch. Here are the steps to wind an HMT watch:
First, ensure that the watch is not already fully wound. This can be done by gently turning the crown clockwise until you feel some resistance. If you feel resistance right away, the watch is already fully wound, and you do not need to wind it further.
To wind the watch, gently pull out the crown from its normal position to the winding position. The winding position is usually one or two clicks away from the normal position, and you will feel a click when you reach it.
Once you are in the winding position, turn the crown clockwise while applying gentle pressure until you feel resistance. Do not force the crown as this can damage the watch.
Keep turning the crown clockwise until it stops or becomes difficult to turn. This indicates that the watch is fully wound.
Push the crown back to its normal position, which will prevent the watch from being accidentally overwound.
Set the time and date (if applicable) by pulling the crown out to the time-setting position and turning it clockwise or counterclockwise as needed.
Remember to wind your HMT watch every day to ensure accurate timekeeping and to prevent the watch from stopping.
