that's great and all but whos gonna watch my kid while im trying to pursue my time consuming dream career? for some of us its not as simple as "just do it". we quite literally have no way to.

I was working full time, but the cost of child care made working not worth it. I was essentially bringing home $4/hr after paying $325 a WEEK for daycare alone. That’s not including all the bills. I’m trying to find a part-time job, but where I live, it’s either fast food or gas station.

This was awesome thank you! I just had my second baby and finished cancer treatment, I am the breadwinner for my family and sometimes I feel like I am losing touch with myself or getting too caught up in the wrong things. Listening to you was so refreshing and reassuring :)

Exactly, I would love to be a full time stay at home mum. But cost of living is too great and I need the money to keep a roof over our head and food on the table. Thanks femenism for devaluing raising children and running a household.
