I always do self checkout when I go to Walmart. So much easier to use than some of the ones at other stores.

i am reading the comments and didnt realize people are scared to use this. there is a "cashier" that oversees the self checkout area. simply pull your cart to the next available checkout and tell the employee that it is your first time and she will probably walk you through it. also, since one line is for all the checkouts, nobody will be wondering what is taking so long. one thing not covered in this video is that the bags are on a scale so make sure you put your item in a bag before putting it in your cart. items without a bar code (usually produce) will need to be looked up individually. items that need age verification (R rated movies, spraypaint, medication, etc.) will require the cashier to validate before continuing. so even if the cashier keeps coming over, dont be embarrassed, people will just assume you are purchasing a video game or cough syrup.

Oh god. THANK YOU, you legend. I have inattentive ADHD and anxiety. Going to Walmart and feeling eyes on me while I fail at using this has lead me to rely on home delivery.

The Guy with the carrots was trying to get 2 for 1 with the bag n swipe technique. Most of you know what I'm referring to. But she was patrolling and used him to prevent him from scanning his own items. $4 for carrots?! Not today.

I stopped shopping at Schuncks Culinaria because they changed over to self checkout. I miss it because I'm use to showing up with my own little cart and stocking up. I would be in there for a while with the self checkout. Maybe I should give it another try. I need about a dozen canned goods for my kitchen cabinet.
