0:40 Re: "level of enemy-ness" - how about words like: animosity, antagonism, competition, conflict, disagreeability, discord, dissention, enmity, friction, opposition, rivalry, (etc.)

I think I have a couple like that. The girl is this emotional and brash punk, who got sent to a fantasy world and the guy is the stoic second in command of a band of thieves. They want to recruit her for her cooking abilities and accidentally kidnap her. Serious shit goes down and both help the other grow as a person. Originally, I had him be in love with his leader, but I started shipping these two more and more until it evolved into this.

@@MsLeahsam You can't yet. I'm still working in the first draft in German, but it's so exhausting that I haven't made progress in months. It's all in my head, but I can't bring it to page. I might just try to find someone who has a better time writing to get it over with and discuss ideas. Looking at the other commenter's list I think Enmity fits the bill nicely. But the other question I had is what is the degree and type of "lover-ness" that they have in the end? Is this a wild fling of passion, a seduction, a long term relationship? The type of love affair that they will have and the intensity is something to think about. Also do they like each other in the end? Not all relationships are built on mutual respect and trust.

I'm writing a relationship with both characters that are villains with one knowing they're killing innocents while the other just think there doing what's bright to protect themselves and others They both hate each other due to their differences of philology and methods of killing Is there an easy solution to slowly push them to become lovers?

-make them spend more time together, forced. Maybe there is a 3rd party that kidnaps both of them and puts them in a room. -Make them tell each other secrets? maybe? -make them insult each other a lot in the beginning, but switch to less harsh, benign insults at the end.
