I get the point of using references ~ I do too~ hear me out, sometimes we enter a corner a slightly different angle or whatnot~ you know, we have funny habit, or the corner doesn't have a straight breaking point, then I feel like the corner reference is not valid anymore~

That’s why, as he points out, it’s much better to have multiple reference points. Two-wide on the inside? Use this reference. Lap 1 with cold tires? Use this reference. Missed a previous apex and are off line? Use this reference. It helps to practice all the scenarios so during the race you can swap between references depending on the situation.

Definitely, ~ more references won't hurt~ but I am way too focused on the reference, and I turn in late~ 😅😅😂😂. Brands Hatch turns one cricket corner without a straight line breaking space before the corner. I was always too focused on the signboard on the left, I forgot to turn, and the next thing I knew, one of my tires was on the grass, and I spun~

that's a good point that i'm going to cover in a later video. for those types of corners you have to use your other senses (hearing and feeling) - so your refferences can be something like the RPM of the engine, or the feeling of force feedback once you go into a crest / compresion zone - or the position of steering wheel. But the main idea is still to have references, otherwise imposible to be consistent while still pushing :D @@wiseslee4792
