Mistakes happen to all of us. Last summer I accidentally sent the wrong washi tape to my buyer and she was gracious to send it back to me free of charge and I then sent out the correct washi tape. It happens, especially when you have many orders like you all have, but even with my small shop, I have made mistakes. You handled the situation graciously and professionally and set a perfect example for everyone else. I'm really loving your KZfaq channel, thank you for all of the amazing help and I really love watching your shipping and pulling items parts. Plus you two are just so cute and comical, I have laughed out loud so many times! Keep making these awesome videos!

That’s another tough thing about losing your top rated. If you accept returns, as long as the buyer initiates a return, negative feedback will be automatically removed.

I must be spoiled. I grew up and still live in a small town in oregon surrounded by mountains that have snow most the winter. I thrift, it’s populated enough but i see you other resellers just killing it in the big cities. Enjoy your vacation! 😎

So glad you guys got a vacay! I resold part time from Cody for a few years before moving back to Oregon. There’s a few little thrift stores so you can get great vintage but not a lot of quantity. I drove to Billings a couple times a month to thrift and yes, the weather did interfere at times. Love your videos!!

Such great advice about replying to negative feedback. Bummer you weren’t given an opportunity to resolve it prior to receiving it. I wish eBay would implement a required formal process for buyers to request a resolution from sellers prior to leaving neutral or negative feedback.

Build a draft bank and you can schedule them to list based on date and time, this will help keep the algorithm going. Great to see you took a break to travel to an amazing destination.

Hi, The new system to ask to revise feedback. You do it though ebay by going to your feedback page and push "Request Revision" then add the messages you sent the buyer. Ebay then does the Request Revision from ebay to the buyer. I had a negative feedback that I did the system and the buyer came back and did revise her feedback and was now happy. I think when ebay does the asking people lesson. This started over the last year. Also it is at times hard for buyers to figure out how to do a revision. When you request Revision, ebay makes it easy for the buyer to make the change. I hope this helps!

@@shedflips did you go through EBay? Also I give a cooling off period where I send a few messages to her and wait a week then take those messages and copy and paste in the request through ebay. But it might not work all the time.

When my wife and I visited Yellowstone we got about 1000 feet into the park and a bunch of bison just began walking in the road tying up traffic walking between the cars, it took about 20 minutes for them to move enough so cars could move. Just like in your video, ours were moving slowly. Great trip would love to go back.

I agree with your assessment of that situation of your negative feedback situation. We as sellers have to basically hush up and remember the next buyer you will have. More honey , less vinegar. Hard sometimes because she really should have thank you for refunding her money and admitting it was your fault…

You signing your name to the feedback response really made it more personal. Very nice! My feedback was 92% for a while because of one negative early on. (Thanks, USPS.) But you're 100% right. I responded in a similar manner and I continued making sales!

I'll be taking a vacation next month for a week and I figure because of not listing, etc, I'm looking at it as a 2 week vacation. So glad you all got to take a vacation. Refill the soul. Hi Lonnie, I want to agree with you and Candace about making mistakes and negative feedback, I would do the same thing I would apologize and give a refund let them keep the item I think before say something they need to take a few minutes and think about what they’re gonna say love your videos miss the dad jokes or the puns. I'm pretty sure if they threatened negative feedback it can get removed by ebay. Its worth asking ebay to look at it.

@@showandsell7148 There is no rule that says you can't threaten to leave negative feedback. There IS a rule that says you can't threaten to leave negative feedback to try to get something that wasn't part of the original listing. For example, "If you don't refund my money and let me keep the item for free, I'm going to leave a negative." But threatening to leave negative feedback because you're dissatisfied with the purchase is not against the rules.

Just beautiful country. I used to live in Utah and frequently went to Wyoming and rafted the Snake River. Winters are harsh for sure but the humidity level is different than down here. (I live just outside of Shreveport La. In Texas.) I used to go out in joggers and a long sleeve shirt. Just a different cold. Y'all have fun

Yeh amazing weather and the drive from Yellowstone to Cody might be the most scenic I’ve ever made. We went whitewater rafting our last day. Very mild but it was a blast. Nothing but good things to say about this trip.

I’ve done a lot of sourcing in outback Australia which is more sparsely populated than Wyoming. The lack of population is offset by the lack of competition.

Have a really great time. I used time away and been happy with it ,,, several times . I ve found the lapse isn't as bad as most people think. Perhaps sellers in that area buy auction batches or things they make .😊

For what it's worth, I've had a decent amount of success getting the negatives removed with eBay's automated form. Just select "other" as your reason and explain that you gave a full refund, etc.

Admirable of you. I got untrue negative feedback recently and buyer only communicated by leaving negative feedback and never responded to my messages. I communicated with eBay cause as a part time reseller 1 negative took me from 100 % to 96 %😡🤨 kudos to eBay for removing it 🥰

I just received 2 negative feedbacks back to back from buyers who didn't even reach out before leaving negatives. I refunded and ask for feedback revisions but neither responded. I did leave a reply on one but wish I would have seen this video before I did. I did admit it was my mistake but did write that the buyer didn't reach out before leaving negative.

Well I have sold on both eBay and Etsy I extend ,my shipping time on Etsy. And vacation mod on eBay. But unfortunately one trip we had a wreck that extended our vacation and shook things up. We ended up being on Cody for another week.

When making a phone call I had to stand in a certain spot in the front yard. For data, I had to be at a certain spot in our bedroom and it would halfway work but still sketchy. They really should get starlink for the place.

When you are away from Pippen you can call and talk to him on the phone. I know it sounds crazy and he doesn't really understand where your voice is coming from, but our little Meatball would get so depressed and wouldn't eat when we weren't home. One day we called to check on him and my aunt put the phone on speaker and he got so excited! He ate for the first time in three days and then kept going back and sniffing her phone everytime she put it down. So we kept calling at least once a day and he did a lot better.

If somebody has already left negative feedback I wait to refund them until they agree to revise the feedback. I think you only get 5 feedback revisions per year so don't waste one if you don't have confirmation that the person will actually revise it. Also if they agree in the eBay messaging to revise the feedback if you send them a feedback revision and they don't revise it eBay will automatically delete it.

The revision requests are based on sales volume, the limit won’t come into play. By policy you really aren’t supposed to hold a refund until you get a revision.

ebay can read ALL your messages, if you get busted holding a valid refund hostage for feedback you will get suspended

Threatening to leave negative feedback isn't against the rules. Saying you will leave a negative if the seller won't give you something extra is against the rules.

You handled the error exactly the way you should have. Did you consider contacting eBay to have the negative comment removed? I don’t think they would remove it now, since you replied, but there is still a chance they might. The reason I say that is because of the multiple messages asking for action on your part BEFORE they leave a review. Although, they don’t specifically use the word ‘negative’…that is clearly the meaning. The message was threatening…do this OR I will leave a negative (implied) review. If it wasn’t a threat, what was it? ‘Refund my money AND I will leave a negative review’? You seemed upset by it which was understandable, but if they won’t amend the review, it’s a worth a shot contacting eBay. You might get lucky. Good luck!

I think that would be kind of a waste while on vacation mode, even if dropping new listings the sales would be bad. I’d rather put the new listings up when vacation mode is over. Just my opinion.

I look at the negs, true enough. Even as an old seller, I look. I look for eBay violations and bad attitudes in the replies, if any. Deceptive business practices or nasty replies = back button. Fast.
