INFORMATION ABOUT CIRS:
I mentioned Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) in the video and how exposure to toxins (when combined with a genetic predisposition) can make it much harder for people to get relief from symptoms, even following a Carnivore Diet. If you aren’t healing and feeling MUCH better after six months of eating this way, I would encourage you to look into other possible causes.
A quick intro to CIRS: chriskresser.com/5-things-you-...

If you think you have CIRS, but you aren’t able to afford the treatments, eating a carnivore diet while also getting extra sun exposure and eating omega 3s (seafood!) does help some people to feel relief from symptoms. Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. And if none of that gets your symptoms to go away, PLEASE know that there are ways to make the Shoemaker protocol more doable. THERE IS HOPE, and you don't have to be a millionaire to find healing by using this protocol. ❤

I LOVE this video and I want to see more like this from Kelly! If any of you out there, we’re looking for a support group for Carnivore, this just gives you a taste of what it’s like. I’m in the Monday night groups with Kelly and they’re full of great people who are at all different levels of carnivore, that love to support each other. Kelly Hogan is almost a 14 year veteran of carnivore, but strongly encourage his other members to speak up and offer suggestions, it’s like a think tank of carnivores bettering themselves. It’s the highlight of my week being a part of Kelly’s coaching group. I’ve made lots of wonderful friends and acquaintances there.

I'm very curious, and I'd love to give it a go. I'm a bit apprehensive as I seem to fail at everything due to my poor relationship with food from a past of bulimia. I LOVE keto, but cant seem to stick with it die to that fact. Always a bit hard when everyone around you is eating carbs in your family. I can see why anyone in my shoes would need a group, so you can fight the good fight with support.

I am 54yo. The last 3 years I have lost 160lbs. Keto and IF was where most all of my weight was lost. Switched to Carnivore. It wasn't until I switched to Carnivore that I healed. 25+ years horrible depression and anxiety, Lupus, horrible inflammation, leg swelling, joint pain, 5 meds, gut bloating issues, ALL GONE! I am just now starting to drop off my final 40 or so pounds on Carnivore! I had ALOT of healing to do but I never gave up...

It sounds like: You’re avoiding sugars and seed oils. You’re walking 3-5 miles per day, lifting weights, rebounding, and eating meat. The scale is a fickle beast, but I promise you: you’re getting stronger and healthier if you’re consistently doing those things. Macro changes, a variety of metabolic resets/fasts, metabolic confusion…it can all help. But you’re doing the basics, and that’s BIG. I’m really proud of you!!

@@KimberlyKelly2000 Perhaps your body is exchanging muscle mass for fat weight so although the scale says you’ve gained weight you in fact are gaining muscle mass with the exercise you’re doing. How are your clothes fitting and how are you feeling? That may be a better guide. Don’t forget to drink water to keep your body flushed and give yourself a few more months.
@itzakpoelzig330

I think it was on Bella the steak and butter girl's channel where she said, if the scale won't budge, it may mean that you're adding bone density. Your bones may have been porous before, but now you're getting the nutrients they need to fill back in. Try tracking your measurements (waist, hips, thighs, etc.) instead of your weight. You may find that your body shape is changing for the better, even without weight loss.

I agree! I started Feb, 16, 2023. I'm 66. Will be 67 next month. I have started noticing a lot of improvements with Inflamation etc. But in the past few weeks I have been "cheating a little here and there with a piece of bread now and then and Ice cream. So not bad, but not good either. Inflamation is back but not real bad. Husband doesn't want to do carnivore so some days it's real difficult to fight the memory of eating pasta and things that I cook for him. I have made a few carnivore meals though that he really liked without adding the things I gave up. :) He really liked the one which was a cheeseburger pie and asked that I make it again. :) Sorry for rambling.

When I went carnivore Feb 6.of this year year,( it has been 3 months to the day) I have lost exactly down to 120.3 lbs. So 30 lbs. Woohoo 🎉🎉🎉. BUT.. stomach issues gone!! I am off pain meds, reduced antianxiety med's from 60 pills to 30 pills per month, antidepressants 80 milligrams to 40 milligrams. All things have changed!! Stress levels are down to Zero!! I thank God for this All 🙏! And for leading me down this path and leading me to you and Dr. Ken D Berry. Knowing you came from Statesville and had Dr Dunlap made me know this was true and I could trust this. I knew he wouldn't give out unhealthy information. Thank you Kelly! 62 starting weight was 285. I’m now 191 in under a year. For exercise at the beginning I just walked 10 thousand steps a day. Plus resistance training I started a few months ago. 2 strokes in 2021, an insane dr. Now former that nearly killed me from statins!! New Dr that’s great and actually learning from me.( who would of thought). I started carnivore while looking for help online here. The very first person was Dr Ken Berry then Dr Eric Westman. Dr Berry was starting BBBE so I just dove in. Here on utube I met wonderful people. Who keep me motivated. I was so sick from the statins the only thing I could keep down was meat, I said to myself this should be a breeze. Lol. Then the wall of doom hit. Where meat looked gross I went 2 days of no food, that’s where I fell into omad where I eat or try to have 2 meals making sure I was getting enough food. Doesn’t always go like that but now I just listen to my body. I went from nearly dying to thriving 😊. I still need to drop 60 more pounds, I’m in no hurry since it had taken years to become morbidly obese. This is now a lifestyle for me. Much love and respect from your friend from the Great White North ... Johnna ❤️🇨🇦

Compulsive eating -- I too had that problem all my life and fixed it by tracking daily' calories and never eating more than 2500 a day. (I'm a 6 ft male). Simple as that sounds, in a week I completely conquered my compulsive eating habit. 12 years later I still count my calories every day and never go over 2500. I've tried to share this with people in OA and to my amazement none of them show the slightest interest. Compulsive eating is like smoking -- once you stop with complete abstinence, with a single limit, it quickly becomes a new habit and the fear of not having enough to eat goes away. The key is to set a daily limit that is easy to live with every day. For me that was 2500. For women, it might be something less.

Outstanding interviews and stories! My greatest victory in being carnivore is mental clarity, stable mood, AND NO CRAVNGS! Seriously, no cravings! I can go to a Mexican restaurant and order meat and not be tempted by the chips (what I've always considered my kryptonite). Even if I didn't achieve *any* weight loss (although I have lost 20 lbs since going full carni last fall), I would NEVER go back to my former low-carb way of eating because I now have the control over what I eat. Being a part of Kelly's coaching groups is the "butter on the meat pie"!

I’m losing about a pound every ten days to two weeks. Finally, finally, finally! Sigh. ☺️

I’m 50 years old. I already went thru menopause, haven’t had a period in almost 4 years. I’ve been carnivore for 4 weeks BUT 2 weeks strict without relaxing my eating on the weekend. I’m 5’7” and currently weigh 189 in a sz 18 pants. I’ve lost 8 pounds. My goal is to weigh 155 ( I gain muscle easily) & to wear a sz 12. If I get smaller, then that’s even better🙌🏻💯 Also I enjoy working out in the gym.

This is a fantastic idea! I loved hearing from the ladies 50+, as I am 53 and just started carnivore in February. I feel so good, I love the simplicity, I sleep better, I feel like I function better. I know I have a long way to go. I have not lost a single pound (currently 250 lbs) but I "will" be patient, enjoy this feeling of inner healing happening. 😊 Thanks to the ladies for sharing and Kelly for this great video! ❤

I think when the weight is not coming off as rapidly as with others you have to consecrate on how you are feeling and any body changes that are occurring; I keep telling myself it is not about the weight loss but how am I feeling; I can honestly say I feel more energetic, my skin on face seems clearer; I have been on this type of testing for about three weeks; I have lost about 10 lbs but it bouncing up a pound down a pound; that's okay it will come. My plan is to stay on this diet for sure until late August and see what happens; I can tell you once in a great while I add a veggie; already know I can eat green beans, asparagus but boccoli gave me stomach pains and Brussel sprouts give me gas; so I will be eliminating this on diet in the future; if I do add a veggie I try to add the lowest natural sugar ones; haven't included fruit yet may try that too; I am trying to find what works for me even if it is different from other peoples.

I started after menopause at 59 going strict keto. Lost 90 lbs by 2020. During lock down in 2020 & 2021, I gained about 20 lbs. Then, I switched to carnivore in 2021. I usually eat omad. I haven't lost more weight, but I feel great and have great labs. I probably have to quit cheese and most dairy at this point to lose those 20 lbs. I am also working out with weights again and walking 3-4 miles more often.

I’m 71. I’ve done low carb for years. Yet 100 carbs a day. I felt keto was a fad. I know many women who have failed. I made 100 carbs a day a lifestyle. I never could get lower than 160 lbs and keeping it. You are right. Having sweet carb treats though I kept low was causing me to crave them. I’ve been doing carnivore for over a week now. I’ve gone from 164 lbs to today 159 lbs. I don’t crave sweets since getting off completely. My go to was Hershey dark chocolate kisses. 7 were 20 carbs. I just say no now. I’m just now going all carnivore. Beef and all meats, cheeses and lots of butter. I’m satisfied. My skin looks better. I have such highs! I’m bubbly and don’t look 71. Now that’s because I have done low carb for years. Yet now I want more results with full blown carnivore. My picture is my husband and me on our 53 rd. wedding anniversary. I’m 71. We married in 1970. Today I opened a new banking account. The woman asked are you a senior yet? Are you 50? I told her I loved her 😂 honey I’m 71. She had all the other women in the bank come look at me 😂. I never want to stop carnivore, though I’m just now going all the way 100%.

This video is great timing for me. I started carnivore in January. Got through the gruelling detox (even though I was coming from a clean, organic diet). But I started to get bored so I began to drink raw milk with a little honey and keto cups. My hair is thinning and my energy is low cause I'm not hungry enough to eat more than twice (sometimes once) a day. I'm going to drop the milk and increase my beef intake as I only eat beef about once 3-4 meals a week. Needed this. Thanks.

I'll be 53 in a few months and I feel better than I've felt in decades now almost 6 months carnivore. Lost 20 pound that I gained after a hysterectomy, ended brain fog (and what felt like brain failure-cognition was really bad), anxiety, IBS, joint pain, more, and I have tons of energy. People can't keep up with me. They tell you going into your 50s it's just natural to really feel the aging process, feel tired, anxious, have aches and pains, chronic illness, etc. People just accept it. I reset the clock. I'll be aging forward from my 20s again, this time I'll feel way better! Wish more people knew this secret!

I started low carb over seven years ago. I was 50 lbs overweight, suffering from debilitating migraines, joint pain and starting my menopause journey. Being so sick, I quit my job. I did know that certain foods caused my joint pain to be worse and sugar would trigger a migraine. So, as I began to eliminate foods It turned out it was the low carb way of eating. To say I suffered through the "keto flu" at the start is an understatement! Even though I was eating low carb I still had sugar cravings and indulged in keto treats that seemed to make cravings worse. But, I managed to keep the weight off. It worked for me until...it didn't! Even though this way of eating eliminated 99% of my menopausal symptoms, all of a sudden my weight shot up 15lbs seemingly overnight. I'd read so much about the carnivore way of eating and had even tried it several times but still had cravings and didn't stick with it. Finally, I just did it...I do also eat some dairy and thankfully have lost 10lbs. For any woman out there suffering through menopause....there is hope. It's not easy all of the time but so worth it. I'd like to shout it from the mountain tops!

I gained weight back that I had lost on keto in early 2022. I decided to try carnovore in April because I just had some issues that I thought I needed to tackle. I needed to find out what foods were bothering me. And within two days my lower G.I. issues were better and not long after my arthritis pain subsided and my asthma went away completely. I had immediate results. I went from an 18 in 2018 to a size 12 that Christmas. But a year ago after two vacations I was back up to a 16. I lose weight very slowly but I am down to a 12 and can fit into some tens. I don’t weigh myself because I don’t think the scale tells the truth. I’m heavier in a size 12 now than I was before and I exercise every day and walk as much as I can. I have been doing this since November. My body composition has changed so much. For me the big thing is I’ve healed so much. I was so inflamed. I tried to eat vegetables last August and I couldn’t walk that night. That did it for me. I pretty much eat beef, butter, bacon, and eggs and keto chow. I will be 65 in August and I feel better than I did when I turned 60. When I turned 60 I was a size 16 still even though I had started keto that year, which was 2018. This year I will probably be in a 10.

Hey Kelly. I am 62 y/o and have dabbled with carnivore. I know it helps me feel better but I always seem to let family get together, and the like, throw me off the wagon. My highest weight about 4 years ago was 283. I am now 252. I just can’t seem to stay consistent 😢. I am rewatching my carnivore people and trying to get restarted and committed. I pray every day this will be the time I do it. I also know that yes the Lord answers prayers but he also expects me to do what I know is right and healthy. My life centered around cooking for my family and family events. Now when I tell them how I’m trying to eat they just look at me like I’m a fool and will be sicker if I continue. Especially if I don’t have Vegetables. Ugh. Well today I am back on again trying to stay strong and to just remember how I know I will feel. Thanks for you encouraging channel.
