Mars Wrigley has recently begun positioning its Orbit, Extra, Freedent and other brands as wellness products to relieve stress and boost concentration. But this isn't the first time Wrigley has tried to turn its gum into a stress reliever. In fact, Wrigley used the same marketing strategy more than one hundred years ago. This is the story of how Wrigley made gum into more than just a breath freshener.
