I just started watching your channel because I was interested in information about pipes and it’s been great so far. I mostly smoke cigars and I’ve seen some of those KZfaqrs getting the same horrible treatment from the platform and making a lot of similar videos to this one. I wish KZfaq would come to their senses but for now I can only hope.

Hey Muttonchop, I'm sorry to hear about the issues with KZfaq. Some refer to KZfaqs "standards" which makes one think they are moral standards. Nothing is farther from the truth if you look at some of the absolute garbage that they allow. It's all about money to them. Id like to see away that we could support you in one time donations such as the "buy me a coffee" option that I've seen and used with others. I don't like to commit to monthly donations but sometimes, when my retirement business has had a good month I like to be able to use a bit to show my appreciation and use that option for that. The merchandise is nice but being in Canada, by time I figure in the exchange, shipping and duty the cost isn't worth it. I enjoy your channel. I find your delivery, the set and lighting appealing too. In my opinion I wouldn't spend a whole lot on a rental location, new lights and camera etc. I can see your drone idea being pretty cool if you're heading somewhere outdoors to enjoy a pipe and a chat. Thanks for your dedication to this hobby that brings much joy and useful information to so many.

I'm honestly shocked that you don't have more of them reaching out about sponsoring your videos for their Products (Blend clubs, Blend Companies, Smaller Pipe Makers) and gettting their products (that you deem worthy) to the daily new views you constantly get while being so educational.

I wouldn't go to the studio renting stage. There's another youtuber in a different genre who does his shows sitting in his parked car and he expressed ideas about renting a studio and all his subscribers said no, his brand was sitting in that car so he's stayed there. The cozy space works well for your channel. .... besides the demonitization, youtube also seems to reduce recommendation engine visibility, even though I've been subscribed for a while I hadn't seen any videos pop up and I had to search to find you again. Then saw a slew of videos KZfaq neglected to put in my Subscription Feed. Not sure what the solution for that is. KZfaq has been pushing their 'shorts' format more than longer content. When editing a video try taking a short snippet from it and put both the short and long videos up, perhaps the short is the 'intro' segment with 'click for more' with a link?

I remember when KZfaq was owned by college kids. It's was an amazing place for free ideas and free thinker. It was truly freedom. Then corporation bought it, and it will never be the same.😢😭😭

I know you cannot help what KZfaq does with its platform, however, there must be some way in which we, as you devotees can let KZfaq know just how valuable and enjoyable your channel is. I am a relative beginner when it comes to pipes and pipe smoking, and I spent a lot of years smoking my pipe without really knowing how to do it properly. You have put me on the right track and I and I am sure a lot of others are forever grateful. I am not sure I can afford to join your channel being a retiree on a limited income, and this is disappointing as I would hate to see you disappear. I live in Australia, and I have looked everywhere for your favorite pipe and cannot find it, perhaps if you could find a seller that you could get a kickback off that is one way, I can help your channel. Also, a lot of the blends you feature are difficult or impossible to get here as sellers do not stock them and buying tobacco from overseas is problematic in regard to quantity and import duty. I really hate the way KZfaq and the like try to censor people who choose to smoke a legal substance like Tobacco.

Of course KZfaq would react like that. It often goes unsaid, but we all know the lengths institutions, governments and companies go to, to discriminate against smokers. Whichever kind that may be, whether they know anything about the plants and the type of smoking. Whether or not their actions exploit the poorer communities, make black market low quality tobaccos more prominent, go against freedom of choice and the free market, even to the point that institutions designed to protect the quality of certain types of tobaccos and tobacco products like cigarettes will only lobby to raise taxes and let companies get away with exploiting labourers, providing an inferior product and adding extremely toxic and addictive substances to it. Instead of protecting citizens who smoke, they'll just set aside their duties to use the effects from that inferior product as an argument for even higher taxation and more restraints on the free market. Mostly because they and the governments and/or companies they work for/with get insane amounts of money from these abhorrent practices. Which, once again, shows their complete lack of sincere concern for people, even though that is always the argument used to curtail more freedoms, exploit more people, and allow more discrimination. I usually refrain from talking about these things. But sometimes it must be said. You are very lucky to be in the US, when it comes to pipesmoking. My own country is a difficult place for such things. Though I shan't let that hold me back from enjoying my pipe. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the need to control products and substances, and to make sure people can walk around freely and go where they wish to do what they would like to do without interference. But I am of the opinion that that should count for anyone. If somebody wants to make a little smoke shop or pub where people can smoke, or a nice little homegrown tobacco and sell that, or even just enjoy a pipe in the sunshine with a nice drink, then I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to do that. I'm sorry for the wall of text, but these things frustrate me. Everywhere I try to go, every community I try to be in and where I enjoy the company of my fellows, or even the simple act of buying certain things, and so on. All these things are either strangled, completely banned, or severely restricted to the point that it becomes a nightmare to deal with. All I want is to enjoy my pipe, with a nice drink, and be left to my own devices. Yet time and again, everything I love seems to be under attack. And due to misinformation, lobbying and propaganda, you'll seldomly find people who'll sympathise, because most do not research these things. They accept what they're told and will tell you it's ok. After all, it's not happening to them. I'm happy I have the option to support you now. I can't afford to subscribe to be a member just now, I might do so in future. Instead I think I'll buy a mug or something. It would also be nice to have the option to donate as a one time thing. Anyway, here's hoping against hope that KZfaq stops being silly. Perhaps you could find yourself a sponsor?

KZfaq channels naturally grow in quality and scale of content output because of monetization. I really don't want to see you put monetized-KZfaqr sized money, from your hard earned life savings, into something that is really 'just' a hobby of yours. 'Just' a hobby, because it is something that gives you (and us) great joy, but not money. Your videos helped me a lot, been enjoying two cob pipes for a couple months and I just got a cheap never smoked estate briar from eBay. I'm 27, reading Lord of the Rings is what got me interested, whereas before I was always staunchly against it and never had an interest in *any* form of smoking because of cigarette stigma. Would I love to see you take a trip to The Country Squire? Absolutely. That would be amazing. But unless this new membership support gives you the money to save and then invest in such things, please do not do it. Your channel is perfect the way it is. Anything extra is great, but please don't spend any of your own money doing these things, or fretting after small-things like a setting when what you have already is what has gotten you to where you are now: yourself, talking about pipes. Thank you for all your contributions to the pipe community, and helping me get my foot in the door! With a briar coming in, definitely have to re-watch your videos on pipe care, carbon cake building/maintenance, and the breath method. I hope this new venture works out for you!!

Good day to whom it may concern, It is my goal with these letters to regurgitate what Alan Harrelson of the Pipe Cottage, a sponsor of the Las Vegas International Pipe Show (LVIPS) has said to a wider audience. I hope you understand this is a very important message and I hope you will raise these concerns within the wider community. I don’t tolerate homophobia, homophobic bullying or any form of anti LGBTQ rhetoric not only in the KZfaq Pipe Smoking Community (YTPC), but in society in general. These behaviours are devastating for everyone involved and I encourage everyone to speak out against that sort of bullying. I ask - Do you condone or tolerate Alan’s (Pipe Cottage) views? If not, I also ask that you speak up against it, especially to Alan and Brian Levine of the LVIPS. Alan is trying to get a foothold in your industry, his remarks about LGBTQ persons hurt you all. His rants are divisive and stated “I am spewing demonic filth” and banned me when I asked if LGBTQ persons were welcome at his Pipe Cottage social media platform. Our culture is changing and we must change with it and it starts with our industry leaders such as you guys. In addition to theses views he mocks and degrades anyone that does not share his opinions, which I now consider radical. I am talking about evangelical Christian condemnation, name calling and suggesting a civil war will break out between cities and rural America. Suggesting city people are less than human and don’t have a brain. He uses revisionist history to pander his ideals, especially about the Civil War and mocks and degrades those that use verifiable fact against him. He admits half his subscribers are not pipe smokers and based on his comments, he’s not here to make a pipe centric community as he says. When he considers the Pipe Cottage his Ministry, then it’s a religious cult. Personally, I will not be doing business with Alan or anyone that tolerates his views and as of right now that includes not attending the LVIPS. Anyone, associated with him - You will not get one more dime out of me. I think it’s about time someone in our industry acts like a champion and stands for LGBTQ persons when hate is thrown their way. I stand by another Member in the YTPC when I say, “Stop the hate”. Let that spread. I have a list of Alan’s remarks that I have witnessed along with the referenced videos if you are interested. This is what I’ve been subjected to on his channel for over a year before I unsubscribed and ran away. It’s not enjoyable and I am sorry if this ruins your day and your fun. Thank you for your time. KZfaq has become quite un-American. Here is a platform operating as a utility yet our 1st Amendment right is trampled upon. That being said..... I want to share with you briefly why I respect you so much. Most of us who are new to pipe smoking have so many questions needing to be thoroughly answered. Not only do you take the time to explain things in detail, but you do it as though you're remembering what it felt like to be introduced to something new and only receiving vague answers. To top it off, you respect our decision in the way which we choose to smoke our pipes. I'll never forget the example you gave should someone criticize how you smoke your pipe........ "You have to hold it with your teeth or you're not a real pipe smoker." Your response was priceless. You made it clear that it is important that YOU are comfortable smoking your pipe calmly whether you hold with your teeth, holding it in your hand or upside down if that's what you feel comfortable doing. I believe that made a lot of us newbies feel a great deal of relief and for that SIR I thank you. until next happy piping.😉

happy to help. Perhaps try to work with a sponsor directly in your videos. Someone who sells pipes or tobacco would be willing to pay you directly for you to promote their products. Also you make some wonderful music. If you made it more accessible via your store via CDs, records, cassette tapes. I personally would purchase a record with your music on it. Lastly I feel like youtube is flagging your videos because of the pipe part and not the tobacco part. Perhaps on some videos focus on reviews more than smoking the pipe on camera. Just some ideas. I want to see you not only succeed but to excel in your project endeavors.
