In this clip, Howard Hewett detailed how he managed to put together and release an album while dealing with the conspiracy case hanging over his head. He talked about the trial and being found "not guilty" while his fiancée was given two years. Howard said he waited the two years until her release and they got married.

Even though Howard was not living in God’s will for his life at that time he had enough spiritual foundation to know how to call on the Lord for salvation. I feel sorry for today’s youth who never grew up in church, never learning about Jesus, and never learning how to pray…. God help them

Wow, that's insane! I've been a huge fan of Howard since I was a child in the 80s and had NO idea he had gone through any of this. Every time I listen to his song, 'Say Amen' from this point forward, it will have a whole new meaning for me and will definitely be listening to it from a different perspective. Thank God he beat that case!

"Say Amen" was a great song, but I recall it being a bit weird when the DJ's in the club back then would put it on (FYI: in the 80's right around midnight, the club DJ's would play maybe 2-3 slow songs back to back) after like, some sexy slow song, and then this would come on and you'd find yourself grinding on a girl to a gospel tune.

The one thing that God requires from His children is BALANCE. This doesn't mean we can do everything under the sun, but we must balance righteous things in life. Howard seems to be balanced; perhaps always have been.

He wasn't always this guy... he was young Arrogant knew everything Howard was... a piece of work so ask Jody Watley what her experience was with Howard Hewlett was.. yes she has a video out. Dope voice loved the group I'm from that era as a teenager 16-17 years old I ain't got no hate but for a Bunch of yall who don't know you can know just how bad he treated people because he was Mr it. Which is one of the reasons Jody left the group and yes she had a bomb voice as well all three could sing. People need to really know the inside stories of some things. New guy great to hear his life has changed.

Don't put what could have happened to you on God. Put it on yourself for being around individuals who have potential to jeopardize your freedom and your life. He knew his girl was involved in criminal activities and disregarded that red flag. Hopefully he chooses who he associates with in the future more carefully. This is a lesson for everyone.
