GREAT REVIEW and i know im late to the party but regards the wide angle lens when its on the pocket 2 you can push it on the cam lens to add a lock to where it holds better. sorry if you already knew that but some won't

@@HowToGuyChannel My biggest complaint is the tiny screen and if you are outside on a sunny say for get trying to use a phone. But then it's $500, a Sony or Lumix is in $2000 or more.

Great to hear! My Osmo Pocket 2 has been giving me some issues since I did this video, but I think its just mine, nothing too serious, I think it might have some overheating and the menu does some weird things (just mine) .. so Im sure yours will be ok

The socket on the handle does indeed provide stereo mic input and also headphone output. Obviously not at the same time! Better for checking playback than that tiny speaker. I wonder whether the keys pulled the lens out of the case magnetically?? But if you pop the case into a small ziplock bag, then anything that falls out of the case will be in the bag. The almost binaural stereo sound from the built in mics is so good. Even your back yard suddenly jumped into three dimensions!

You are right, the speaker is tiny, and the Mic input I have not tested, but Yes, you can listen to your audio via headphones, its a good little accessory, peter the keys pulled it out Magnetically for sure, and in fact alot of KZfaqrs are saying it clips onto the Camera lens, and there is some extra security, I have not found that at all , the clip they speak about is the Magnets hitting each other, there is a little groove that may give you 5 percent more security, but still its easy to loose if you knock your elbow or something I love it, Im responding to your comments , as you type, Yes.. the Stereo sound is actually not bad.. Good Job DJI

Better get some DJI Stock if they keep up like this. Hasselblad hand held should be next. Don't change your formula. Just keep making it a little better every time until you can no longer out do yourself. LOL

Good question... I believe if you hold it 90 degrees you get to Portrait mode, but If you switch up side down, it should simply work that way, I know the Osmo action will automatically switch the Image to upside down mode, and record it correctly, Im not sure what the pocket does

I was thinking of buying a LUMIX G7 for a beginner camera, but a person from a camera shop recommended me this one for filmmaking sadly not photography, but I feel more inclined for filmmaking than photography, problem is what to film? Hey TeaGaming, thanks for the nice and positive comment.. Always good to get feedback.. I use Sony as my main talking head tripod stuff.. But the Pocket 2 is excellent as a vlog camera and cinematic film tool to use around towm.. It often looks better than my sony for some weird reason that makes no sense

Thanks, I'm trying to keep the content kinda different to anything else you might see. But the osmo is much better than people think, even the osmo 1 was pretty darn good

@@HowToGuyChannel your humor mixed with quality production value sets you apart from other channels I see that are just dry reviews reading off the box and user manual. I just ordered the pocket 2 hoping to find some ND filters that work with the wide angle lens

Hey Baxter, thanks so Much.. It keeps me motivated when I hear people saying the content is Enjoyable, and good quality.. so thanks for the comment, the ND filters and the Wide angle lens, Im not too sure about that.. I tied my freeWell ones the other day, didnt seem to me like there was a way to do it.. there might be a way to combine both

@@HowToGuyChannel maybe if I use some gaffers tape to just tape around the perimeter with the wide angle and nd stacked on top of each other and see what happens. Worst case I wasted a few inches of tape haha.

Hey irehman, i have had some issues with mine since the video.. The menu sometimes gets weird on me.. Maybe i got a dud.. Its still a good camera.. Thought i would let you know ✋

I have a video coming out in a few hours.. Its a bit harsh.. Its not bad camera.. I might have got a bad unit . Last about 2 hrs.. Maybe less

The Zv1 is also very good, you would be happy with that camera too, it will also look alot sharper than Osmo Pocket 2, its a bigger camera

@@BlackBirdieGolf I was comparing those too & decided to go for Pocket 2 Creater Combo due to size/weight & being able to use it quickly in more environments. Obviously there are compromises but you gotta get what's best for you. I'm very happy so far ..

Hiya ..!!! I like a lot some of the new features of the OP2 , specially the new increased FOV , provided by the attaching lens , you did an excellent job at the FOV comparatives pointing at the space in the tree and the sea view of the fence …it showed clearly the increase. Also the sound …excellent quality …!!! although the sound is a bit irrelevant for my application . Just as an idea …¿¿ Have you tried the Autofocus ?? I mean does still “ hunt “…?? .. I good trial will be a long pan from , say right to left , and see if still has that nasty hunting anywhere during the pan…do that pan at different speeds ??? and see what is focus . Also about the wide lens attachment ¿¿¿ Does it work in the old OP1 ??...have you tried ? . Any how mate ..well done ..!!! unfortunately I already have invested in the OP 1 , and the new OP2 will be nice to have BUT …nooo…I will wait for the OP3 I think ??? maybe DJI will see the light and get that 1 inch Hasselblad cam onto it ..!!! jejejeje..OR ?? who knows they might re-lunch the old original OSMO with it . If they did …you will have to spend more money …jejejeje...but in that case I would too for sure. Kind regards . Chhheeerrrsss…!!!

Hey Ramon, thanks for the nice Long comment, Im not sure I will answer everything, I have had issues on Pocket 2, sometimes in High qality mode (Not really worth using) ...it overheats and the menu freeze, or struggles to swipe. Hopefully its just a firmware fix on the way. The Sounds and Mic, and handle are all good, and worth the Upgrade (but best not to use High quality mode , rather Battery saver mode, since that does not have issues for me) I have not tested Auto focus hunting, will have to look more into that, Im not much of a pixel peeper, but will look into it for you :) You have some good ideas for tests. I havent tried wide angle on Osmo 1, good idea again.. OP3 will obviously be good, but who knows when that would come.. I would love FreeWell lens

@@HowToGuyChannel I have the FreeWell Wide Angle lens and it distorts around the corners ..!! which is exactly how to messure the quality of a wide angle ...any wide angle . I have seen your other video ...explaining your issues with the OP2 . have left you a comment there too. Keep up the good work mate ....I will not upgrade to OP2 since sound is irrelevant for me .I have a Zoom H2 and a lapel mic...and sound rec. is great there . I need VIDEO QUALITY in the smallest possible package ..affraid OP2 is not it...😥 Cheeerrrsss...!!!!

Have lost that lens sooo many times and like you i am very grateful for those magnets. Honestly need find another clever place for it. An issue i do have though is that tiny tripod screwed to the case. That thing keeps unscrewing it self and falling off ALL THE TIME!! Really annoying! BTW *Pats on own back for getting all the way to the end* 🙎‍♂️👋

Glad it was helpful N Jg! Its a good camera actually for the price :) Just make sure you get a working one, the second One I received (replacement) works very well, my first one had some issues.
